This was another of my many stops in Illinois. It was my first at this place. The store is located inside a gas station store front. There was also a Duncan donuts and Toca place inside as well. The meat was tender with flavor, and the bun was soft and fresh.

Driving thru, stopped by for a quick lunch.
Ordered the hotdog special and the combo beef..
Hot dog was Chicago style, mustard, pickles, green relish and sport peppers.
Missing was the poppy seed bun..
Fries were normal skinny cut, no biggie.
Italian beef was flavorful with authentic Chicago flavors..
3 stars overall, will visit again.

Asked if they have a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and was told what comes on it. I said I’d like it just sauce and add cheese. I was then asked what I wanted on it. I repeated myself. I then was asked what sauce. I said buffalo? Finished the rest of the order. Received my food, and a sandwich is missing. Go around again, get the sandwich. Then not trusting this place I checked my sandwich I ordered, and somehow they screwed this up so bad. Crispy chicken sandwich that looks gross, they added some pepper and added cheese. Not even remotely close to what I ordered. I will not return and I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant.
Picture below is their buffalo chicken sandwich. This place is a joke…and that second photo is a grilled cheese. Just save your money.

Just ordered from them again, after promising myself and family I would not do so (every order in the past has been problematic). I ordered a Reuben sandwich and the Saturday Special Italian beef. The counter staff called me back to the counter and told me that they had run out of sauerkraut. I originally said go on and make it anyway, but then after looking at the menu, I saw that a corned beef sandwich was a dollar less and had no sauerkraut. I asked for a price adjustment and was told that the corned beef had sauerkraut (? in what deli?), so I couldn’t get the $1.00 difference back. I asked, politely, for a few more fries, and they complained that the fries weren’t with the cost of the sauerkraut. When I got home I saw that there was no Swiss cheese on the sandwich, so all I had was 2 slices of bread, some mystery meat, and a couple squirts of dressing.
The Italian Beef was supposed to have mozzarella cheese, sweet and hot peppers along with being dipped. There was a shred of cheese, the sandwich was dry, and there was no giardiniera. The amount of meet was about half of what it was in the past, so even understanding that we are in hard times, this was unacceptable.
Recommending that you never eat there, as they do not offer refunds, even though the refund policy is posted at the counter. They would not convert my Reuben sandwich to a regular corned beef since “it was already made and coming out from the kitchen”.

They are simply the best! I called them to cater my wife’s baby shower and let me tell you the owner (Tiffany) went above and beyond. She ensured my food was on time, fresh, and delicious when it arrived. She is so friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend them! Trust me they will not disappoint! Thank you Tiffany and your staff for being awesome! I definitely will be calling for my next event!!

I came on 1-29-24 to pick up some food after a long day at work because i was not trying to go home and slave in the kitchen. I am so glad i stopped here! The 2 young ladies behind the counter were very friendly & polite. Both provided good customer service experience . Food was good, fresh & well served! I am also very happy & thankful that when i got home to see that all my order was there and everything was given to me as i ordered it! Try it out, you WON’T regret it!

This review is more about the young girls working the counter than it is about the food. Don’t get me wrong, the food is great, get the seasoned fries for sure.
Although I am not here on a weekly basis, I do grab a bite every so often. It is so refreshing walking up to a young person who genuinely smiles and asks you what you would like to order. Sounds silly, right? I feel the same way….what used to be the normal is now the exception……if you want the exception go to Pops in the village. These girls are friendly…polite…and professional.
Whoever is training this crew knows a few things about customer service and speaking with people.
Keep up the great work….these young girls are allstars.

Last time here. They advertise “$3.99 make it a meal” on the drive thru signage and was charged $4.38. I brought this up to the shift leader and was told this wasn’t her problem. Cashier even said if I am not happy “don’t come back”. She remembered me because on another occasion I brought this up. Funny, I could hear the manager curse me as I drove away. I wasn’t rude or belligerent, I was merely explaining the discrepancy. She could not look at the receipt and comprehend. She created conflict as opposed to resolving. Pops…before hiring people, make sure they understand that your customers come first, addition & subtract, and conflict resolution…
