Restaurant 89 is a great, classic Italian restaurant, in a very cool speakeasy style setting.
The restaurant is downstairs in a subterranean space on route 16 that has Milford Pink Granite columns supporting the ceiling. Super cool location.
The food is good. The Bolognese with Tagliatelle is fresh and delicious. The duck confit was perfectly executed (and affordably priced).
Shaelin was a very attentive server, despite a fairly busy service. She did an amazing job.

We ALWAYS enjoy the food and drinks here. The staff are all top shelf and truly care about your experience. Every dish we have tried, app, dinner, specials, have all been excellent. They had a chicken cacciatore on special recently and I asked if they could do a veal cacciatore instead – no problem at all they said, and it was delicious. Their bartender is always so friendly and makes you feel like family. Thanks 89!

Celebrated my wife’s birthday at this restaurant. Very nice place. Atmosphere is great. The ambiance is great. The server that we had, She was great. The food was good. But my wife and I were there last year and we had a phenomenal experience going there. And the food that we ordered was absolutely great. I ended up getting deoctopus appetizer, which was a little bit pricey, for only one piece of tentacle for the amount of money that they’re asking for. I can go to a Portuguese restaurant and get the octopus dish and pay $35 for
And you get a full-blown meal. The steak that I ordered was medium well and the last time I got it. It was like cutting through butter, the steak that I got. Now it wasn’t so like that. I get it when new ownership takes over. They wanna put their best out and bring in the customers. But once you’re in business for so long it’s seen to kind of dip down a little bit with the food quality what it’s not consistent of the first experience that we had When my wife and I went to the restaurant. But overall, everybody own has their own opinios and viewpoints on restaurants and experiences they have. The restaurant is still a great place to dine in and there’s always room for improvement.

We were looking forward to trying out this establishment for date night – something we cherish and look forward to but this place ruined our night. We ordered an appetizer that was running behind so we cancelled it. Then dinner was served over 30 minutes after that. We sat and watched every table near us enjoy their meals, even dessert and hoped that our meals would come out soon but only prompting the server expedited the process.
We asked to speak with the manager but another insult came when they had the nerve to send someone else, a lower lever staff who requested compensating us a mere $50.00 for such an inconvenience.
We are proud residents of Milford and hoped to make this establishment a regular part of date night, however due to the significant delay of service and the lack of being served equally as other patrons we will never visit this place again.

We enjoyed our staff holiday party here 3 years in a row. The service was All the dishes were very tasty from the Appetizers to dessert.
The Arancini and Filets are always big favorites.
The ginger bread dessert was a nice and light treat after our meal. I heard the cranberry pudding was delicious also, just a little heavier.

Fantastic small Italian place the fresh pasta is phenomenal and I’ve been here a few times and always leave super satisfied . The homemade soups are also 10/10. Don’t be confused when you see the empty spot above them that’s not the restaurant you have to go down the stairs to get to them and it’s such an awesome little cozy spot

My wife and I have enjoyed eating here for years, and recently we had our wedding in their function room. Everything about the venue was perfect, from pre-wedding planning to the perfect menu. I had so many of our guests tell us how amazing the food was and how friendly and professional everyone from 89 was. Whether you are having a big function there or just stopping by for dinner, my highest recommendation would be Restaurant 89; if I could give 10 stars I would.
