This is a very neat old house atmosphere. Our server was amazing! We tried a variety of food. The deviled eggs appetizers were unique but tasty. Slightly spicy. The jalapeño burger and republic burger were on point! Juicy thick patties and slightly sweet pickles. The mac and cheese was right up our kids alley with a light creamy/parmesean flavor. We enjoyed a mango cart on tap. The shrimp bowl was a good mix of spice. We enjoyed a hot toddy after dinner.

We’ve been a few times and try to love it but we just don’t. The atmosphere is fun especially in summer…but the food is just ehhh. And IMO just weird. They try so hard to be different and quirky but for us it doesn’t land. Went yesterday and ordered the Mac and cheese. There was so much garlic over it…and honestly just why? I feel like the menu creator doesn’t realize some things don’t go together like that. Garlic in that quantity isn’t a garnish. It didn’t even enhance the taste. It was just there. I thought maybe he got it confused with the noodles but was told that’s how the dish is. I told the server/manager that they don’t use this much garlic in Italy. It was sitting on top in cloves and had no point to the meal. The mimosa was a wine glass full of ice. Not terrible but IMO not as funky as they’re trying to seem. Odd. Somethings shouldn’t be messed with.

We had decided to drive around Lake Coeur d’Alene and found Republic by chance. Really cool place since it is in an old restored house built in 1910. The menu was amazing and offered some unique dishes.

We ordered the warm onion dip and house made chips. Sooo good.

I ordered the cauliflower tacos
My husband ordered the Fried chicken sandwich with their Repiblic tries. My MIL ordered the Republic Burger and she swears she’s never had a better burger! For dessert we ordered the warm donut with ice cream.

Service was on point. She was friendly and really attentive.

Can’t wait to go back!!!

Jalapeño burger 100%. I was nervous to order it but the waiter said its his go to. I finally found the burger my life has been missing!!!!!! The beer was cold and fries were crispy with an awesome seasoning. Just put Republic in my google as a favorite! I will be back…….. a lot!

Came to have lunch with a coworker and the staff was amazing. I have severe allergies so unfortunately was unable to try the food, if you can please have the belly hash for me, or really anything else, it looks and sounds so good. They use a sesame dust on multiple items and with it being a severe allergy they didn’t feel comfortable serving me which I totally understand and 100% appreciate. I had a pitcher of the blood orange sangria for the table which was amazing! I’d come back for that any day. The server was super sweet, very helpful, and just amazing overall. If you haven’t tried this place yet what are you waiting for?

We live in Cheney, so this is a nice little get away. So glad we found this truly unique place. I absolutely love a restaurant in a historic house and wish people did this more. The squash soup was incredible delicious. Can’t wait to come eat on the gorgeous patio in the summer.
