I’ve attached some pictures to this review to show everyone what it was like. My favorite part was sitting in the outside area by a fire. Their “backyard” theme was pretty cool. They had lawn chairs on grass surrounding fire pits. Inside is huge.
Inside feels like a club. The three story building has open ceilings with multilevel seating surrounding the main stage. And There’s a large dance floor area.
My experience was with a corporate event. Looking forward to revisiting this place when I return to Texas on a normal night. It was a of fun. Highly recommend it.
I am lowering the review by one star. I gave it some time before I returned to let the new wear off.
The people there were still great folks, very kind, respectful and welcoming.
As I did not eat here the first time, I have no comparison on the food from before.
I did eat this time and I must say I am extremely disappointed. I was expecting some stellar meat and sides but was left wanting.
The brisket was overly fatty throughout, meaning there was little meat with the fat.
The cheese and jalapeno sausage was very greasy (mainly due to the cheese most likely) and had no taste.
The potato salad was more of a mustard salad…the other ingredients were not palatable because of the mustard.
The only items that I could eat were the macaroni and cheese and the banana pudding.
The bottled water was good.
The only other issue is the ordering counter is in the back and has no or not enough A/C because it is screened in only.
I was hopeful that this was going to be a good spot for BBQ, but my hopes were dashed.
Maybe some of these items will be addressed and remedied for others to have a better experience.
Again the folks are great and that helps….if your not eating.

Really great folks…went to the grand opening of the Republic BBQ. A ton of people showed up. Inside was inviting and the food smelled great. Unfortunately line was too long to stay…I look forward to going back to eat.
The BBQ portion is only open Thursday through Saturday.
It is completely overpriced and from the other reviews I have read about this place I am not the only one who thinks so either. I only ordered a drink and that alone was costly. I can’t imagine ordering food. I ordered a rum and coke which cost me $9 and my friend ordered a whiskey and coke costing her $12. Two ingredients only and not top-shelf alcohol. No way should it have cost that much.
Also the food is not worth it. The event did have some of their food, but it tasted bad. We were served some bacon on a stick, chips and salsa, and Mac and cheese with a small piece of meat on top. The pasta was cold and even uncooked. Completely unacceptable. The bacon was cold as well. The meat on the pasta had no flavor and there was barely any flavor coming from the bacon.
When asked about when the food was coming out we were greeted with an “UH?” The service was so slow with the food coming out and had no organization. If you are having an event with about 50+ people like we did then Redneck should have been prepared which clearly they were not. The waiters do not know how service a party and you had to chase them down in order to grab some food. Empty plates and cups littered the tables and were not cleaned up by the employees. Don’t bother having an event here and I would not bother coming here either.
The venue was great. We saw Shenandoah in the concert area and sat pretty much right in front. It was intimate and very comfortable. The music was not overly loud but it still had a larger concert feel. There was a lot of people there but I never had to wait in line for the restroom nor did I have to push through crowds of people to get through.
We loved the support this place show for veterans. And the MC for the night was great. Michael Berry showed up as the picture indicates. So it was nice to see him in person too.
This place is great! It’s worth the drive and we will be back.
I had a three meat plate. The brisket was excellent, some of the best I’ve had though they gave me the tip and it had quite a bit of fat. Well smoked with a great ring. Ribs didn’t have a strong flavor at all. They were okay. I was a little disappointed with them. The chicken was a dryrub baked chicken. It was very good. Great for my wife who is okay with smoked BBQ but doesn’t love it. The chicken reminds me of medieval times mixed with Texas Roadhouse dry rub before they got rid of it. It was good.
The sides I choose were Mac and cheese which came with Fritos for texture. The Fritos were a nice touch to dress up pretty ordinary macaroni. Baked beans were odd. They have a good kick in the back end. They taste like Mexican baked beans a little up front. They were okay. I wished they used some BBQ sauce in there. It needs it.
Sweet tea was awful. Just get something else. Weak brew and very little sugar. I read that on another review and figured I’d try it anyways. Take it from me, don’t get it.
Their BBQ sauces were good. Sweet and tangy. There was a little alcohol base to one if not both of them. It was pretty good, different at least.
Overall the brisket and chicken standout. Everything else was okay. Pretty decent overall.
