Road tripping across the West Coast and stopped here to on whim. My BF is from Texas and was prepared to be judgey but we both were very pleased! We tried the sampler, tri-tip Philly, and fry bread and it was delicious

Used to love this place! Today went and got a $40 meal, tri-tip, pulled pork, Fry’s, chili and three buns on the side. Was told The fryer was way backed up and it was going to be a while for my fries, so decided to get a beer and wait. Finally got my order and when I got home there wasn’t any fries, or chili, and the pulled pork was burnt, crunchy, and extremely dry. Including the tip it was $48. Totally disappointed!

I have never had your food and I found it in Door Dash. I have lived in Prineville almost my entire life as well as Portland for a few years in my adult life. I have to say. I took a leap and ordered the tri tip sandwich and holy cow!! That’s good. Then I tried the coleslaw and oh my gosh!! That was good!!!! And the curly fries and fry sauce. Wowza!!!! I am filled up. It was so good and did not cost very much!! All around my new favorite bbq place!!

I’d like to start by saying the two women in the truck were rockstar. I have Alpha-Val Syndrome and cannot have a vast majority of commonly eaten foods, I can have bird, fish, and plant. I cannot have anything mammal.
Those two were gracious enough to listen to me talk about my allergies and were able to answer questions regarding how food is prepped, cooked, and the ingredients.
I was able to order their smoked turkey, fries, and coleslaw. They even took into account how the turkey would be warmed for service, and asked me if cold was okay (it is).
This place gave me 5 star service and 5 star food.
The smoked turkey is easily in my top three of smoked turkey out of all the places I’ve had smoked turkey at. And I’ve been through a lot of states.
A huge thank you to those two young ladies for taking an interest and being proactive and allowing my to eat some of the best smoked turkey in Oregon.

Best bbq in Oregon. Been searching for years in Portland and west side Oregon for a good bbq place but they are all terrible. The ones that can cook cant figure out how to season or flavor. The ones that can flavor cant seem to figure out how to cook the meat. Went to Prineville and found this gem. Smoked well and great flavor. It is true what they say the best bbq are out in the country. Had the tri tip good bad the ugly sandwich.

After the service I received I didn’t even want to try the food. My husband asked if they had gluten free buns and received a very curt yes and when we asked if their sides were gluten free we were told we’d be getting beans. The guy working said he would not be responsible for any answer he gave. When I tried to ask if the fries were breaded or if there were any other side options we were told again that we’d be getting beans. Whoever was working was extremely rude and refused to answer any questions. The service was so horrendous that we left. We will not be back.

Me and my family stopped at these food trucks to get brunch, and Renegade BBQ was one of the ones we went to. I ordered a tri tip meal, thinking it was a sandwich. When I got my meal, which came with beans and coleslaw, the meat was barely warm, the beans were tasteless, and the coleslaw was tasteless, and this was verified by the whole family. I went back to confront the person working there about all of the above, and he reached his hand into my plate, manhandled the meat, and THREW it into the garbage. He then stated that he was a “5 star restaurant”, but according to the reviews, they are a 4.5. I went to Toni’s Tacos, and the food tasted MUCH better and was actually warm.

Good smoked BBQ from the ribs to the tri-tip to the pulled pork. And their sides – such as curly fries and chili – are really good too. One of the best burgers in Central Oregon. Try the sampler plate to share or the loaded Nacho Fries for a BBQ treat.

One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever eaten. Pulled pork with slaw on top. Meat was delicious and juicy woodsmoked goodness. Came with a side of perfectly crisped curly fries and a side of fry sauce. Best thing I’ve ever eaten in my life! Not only that, it settled very well. This place is a treasure! Should’ve gotten something to go as well
