We were driving through Greer to look at fall colors and decided to stop and have dessert here. I ordered an apple pie with whip cream and enjoyed it. The pie had great flavor, a perfect balance of both sweet and tart. It was warmed up so the crust was a little on the softer side. My husband ordered the cherry cobbler and wasn’t as happy with it. He said it had great flavor, but he felt like it was a disassembled pie (all broken up and stirred together) and the crust that was mixed in with the cherries was soggy and tasted like dough. The restaurant was cute and the service was excellent.

We enjoy a day drive to the little town of Greer to get away. Stopped into this cute diner beside the road. It has a old-time country style too it. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious! I ordered the BLT, which I highly recommend! The bacon and toast were cooked perfectly. The rest of my party ordered burgers and fries and said they were pretty good. Enjoyed the scenery and the ambience. The staff were all friendly and welcoming.

We had a fabulous lunch at the Rendezvous Diner! The food was delicious, and the outdoor patio was the perfect spot. We loved being entertained by the hummingbirds right next to our table. It was a five-star experience!

We’ve discovered this place on google search. We loved it the minute we walked in, me and my family. Is like being invited in someone’s house, a homey feeling, the warmth of the hostess, the smell of cooked food, the family atmosphere everything was perfect. After having a complete lunch, we discovered their lip smacking pies for desert. So good, so tasty!! We ordered a whole peach cobbler to take home, which needs 24 hrs notice, and returned two days later to pick it up. We had lunch there in Greer, two days out of the three we spent in Pinetop. Rendezvous diner is a diamond in the rough. We are world travelers and we loved it there. We will definitely go back to visit again and we’ll bring friends and family to enjoy the same experience we had.

The food was so yummy. We definitely could tell everything was made with fresh ingredients and made with attention to detail. The peach cobbler was more peach pie but it was still yummy. We also purchased the bacon cheeseburger with fries and ham and cheese sandwich with onion rings. So yummy

Nice location and atmosphere, good prices, very friendly and helpful staff. They have giant bucket of super crispy, fresh cut onion rings. Their homemade crosscut fries are superb. The PLT (pastrami, lettuce & tomato) sandwich wasn’t bad. I liked the flavor of those blackberry cobbler but it was too doughy. The deep fried green beans were great.

I wanted to leave this review as it breaks my heart to see Greer under threat of yet another fire. I just had lunch at the Rendezvous yesterday (5/12/25). As per usual, we were greeted my the kindest staff. We had a lovely time watching the elk and enjoying the food. Greer is such a special place and I have so many wonderful memories of visiting as a child.
The Rendezvous has and always will be a blessing to the community. I’m sending love and positive thoughts to the folks who have been or will be impacted by this fire.

Our first time there. Fantastic place, food and service. A tip. Try their broccoli and cheese soup. The best either of us had. And tip #2, dip your French fries in the soup!! Much better than fries and gravy. Tip #3, try their peach cobbler!! Whoa!!!

Fish fry on Friday is a must try!
Nice crisp fried cod is probably the best I’ve had! Also had their mama’s potato soup, which was good, fried green beans and fried pickle was also delicious.
It’s a charming and quaint diner with bits and nicks everywhere. Hummingbirds are fascinating to watch if you’re sitting outside to enjoy the nature!
Staff was also nice even before closing!

The staff was very friendly, our food was delicious. Fried chicken was crispy and moist. Perfect. The Strawberry Rhubarb pie Ala mode was amazing.
