Quirkiest Bar in the Burg ! That’s a Good Thing !!
Been coming here for years as I went to college in this town. I would consider this a locals bar but lots of visitors to the Burg so you will see them in here too. Cindy was swamped on Friday night and still managed to be take care of everyone and maintain her composure. The place can get packed and usually one bartender because it is small. You go through long “mine” hallways to get there and then there is the solo door. The Mines totally has the feel of a Speakeasy – which is why it is so fun. Prices are good and the laughter is a-plenty. We will return time and time again.

The mine is one of the best spots in town to visit and have an ice cold drink. The bartender Jasmine is the most outgoing, friendly, and polite bartender I have ever met! She is good at her job and knows how to run the bar with confidence and with style. Also if you ever just need to vent she is one who will listen without any judgement! Jasmine is amazing!

The bartender Jasmine is by far the best that I have encountered in town. This is a small “whole in the wall bar” with an amazing atmosphere and she makes it an amazing experience each and every time we come in! This is our go to place! It is by far the best bar in Gettysburg!

I have never made a Google review but needed to for how unprofessional the bartender Jasmine was during our stay. I was reading numerous reviews about Jasmine after we left and they are all true.
While we were being rudely served she was taking shots while giving away free shots to customers. She was also asking patrons to leave nice reviews about her since she has received bad reviews about her on Google. She seemed extremely bothered to do her job. We stayed for only stayed for one drink since we felt so unwelcome and was interrupting her taking shots with her friends. Sad because this establishment could have so much potential with appropriate staff.

Such a fun local bar. We had a great time! First time here and we’ll be back (if they’ll have us). Chill place. People are welcoming. Great place to sit n sip. Cindy Irene is a fun bartender, down to earth. I recommend if you need down time. No food so fill your pockets with pretzels.

We saw a sign from the road for this place and decided to check it out. The entrance is really cool and looks like a door too a mine. The hall is really cool and looks like a mine shaft.This is definitely not a fancy establishment. So if that’s what your expectations are it’s not the place for you. The prices are amazing. You won’t find cheaper drinks anywhere else in town. We ordered a beer and mixed drink and it was around $8. We also stumbled upon some locals that are known to frequent this establishment. I will leave it at that. If you give it a visit you will understand.Wonderful experience really cool place. The bar tender had dreads almost down to his feet. Very attentive & nice fellow to converse with. Definitely recommend stopping in for a drink. Next time we are in Gettysburg we will be stopping back in. Very diverse crowd never know who you might meet in here.

Bartender was downright rude. Was more focused on dancing and singing with her friend to serve customers in a timely manner. Did not make my drink properly, tasted like crap. When I asked for it to be remade to be palatable, she insulted me and threw a spare Crown bag at me like that was going to fix the problem. Not the only person I saw her treat poorly.

A dive bar that exhibits zero class and more than makes up for it with ridiculously cheap drinks, great pours, and serviceable bathrooms. Perfect place to forget your problems for less than $20. Maybe $30 if you’re a pro. Stop by for a good cheap time.
