Social Profile:

In 1972, Bob coined our motto, The Taste of Quality is Long Remembered. We remain true to that philosophy today. Bob Rein had a passion for high-quality, flavorful deli. Bob and Betty loved to entertain friends and family. Our family gatherings centered around great home cooking. Guests who frequented our home left with appetites delightfully satisfied and hearts warmed by shared friendship. Bob did it his way – using only the best ingredients to draw out the flavors of the fine food we serve at Rein’s Deli. Whatever you order, from soup to nuts, QUALITY is the first ingredient. We invite you to try anything from our menu. We thank you for the opportunity to serve you. We especially thank you for sharing in Bob’s passion.

Fun NY style deli, true to the name. The pickles are interesting, they didn’t taste like pickles. But the sandwiches were great. They have a large menu, something for everyone. I recommend you get a side with your sandwich as the sandwiches aren’t big and they have delicious sides. Close to the highway, plenty of parking, easy in and out.

Another great meal had at Rein’s! The menu is quite extensive, but my favorite dish to get is the brisket atop potato pancakes. There is so much tender, thinly sliced meat with a rich gravy. Never fails to hit the spot.
The fried pickles are always fantastic, best I have had anywhere, along with the coleslaw.
Service was great and we always look forward to and enjoy coming here.
Plenty of parking in lot shared with other businesses.

Love Pastrami sandwiches! This one is just the meat and cheese and served cold. Also, tried the potato pancakes with sour cream those were good but just warmed not hot. Loved the pickles! Loved the mushroom barley soup! They have a big menu with lots of sandwiches! I’d like to go again to have a chopped liver sandwich!

Stepping into Reins I found a bustling food scene: on my left hand side and front were freshly baked goods, cold deli and packaged desserts for sale; on my right hand side was seated restaurant space. The place was homey, busy and orderly, exuding an East Coast kosher and non-kosher quality food atmosphere mixed with intelligence. The placemats were prints of the story of the 50+ years history of the deli restaurant.

Our brunch of pastrami and eggs and veggies omelette proved both delicious and nutritious, and ample. It’s of medium pricing (both orders were below $15 each) and top quality and good service, which the owners obviously take pride in, and rightly so. Highly recommend.

My husband and I. Stopped here for a quick bite, they it closed at 8pm. We actually enter the door exactly at 8 pm, I thought they were going to say no we are closed, surprisingly they told us as we will honor you , and gives us table, the food was super delicious . Sorry I was to hungry didn’t take pictures of the sandwich.

I think that we were spoiled when we visited LA Fabrique in Quebec (Best Pastrami I’ve ever had! Three choices of fat content, sliced to order, thick and served warm). Reins pastrami is thin and sliced cold. Potato pancakes are also seved cold. Flavor was fine. I’m glad we checked out this Connecticut institution.

Authentic NY deli sandwiches! If you go home hungry, it’s your own fault. Very generous portions and lots of menu items to choose from. I also love that you can order a rueben for breakfast lol. You also should try their world famous pickles! This place is always busy and I understand why

I have heard great things about this restaurant from several people. I decided to check it out. They definitely did not disappoint. They have a to go area as well as a dine in area. The place was packed and the energy was amazing. They sell sandwiches, soups, deserts and souvenirs. I got the best service from a staff named Sammie. My sandwich was huge! It was made with love and oh so delicious. I will be a regular at this establishment from now on! Go and find out for yourself how great it is, Darling!

Rein’s Deli is the kind of place that feels like a warm hug from your favorite grandparent—if that grandparent also made one of the best pastrami sandwiches you’ve ever had. This bustling, no-frills eatery serves up hefty, flavor-packed sandwiches and traditional Jewish deli fare in a casual, simple dining room where the focus is 100% on the food.

One of the unique (and charming) touches? Instead of bread, you’re greeted with a bowl of crisp, tangy pickles at your table—a refreshing and perfectly salty start to your meal.

Now, let’s talk bagels. Rein’s bagels are legendary—chewy, fresh, and just the right amount of dense. Whether you order one with a schmear of cream cheese, stacked with lox, or as part of a breakfast sandwich, they never disappoint. They’re easily among the best bagels you’ll find outside of New York.

It’s no surprise Rein’s is constantly busy. Locals love it, travelers plan detours for it, and regulars keep coming back for comforting, familiar food done right. From the matzo ball soup to the corned beef piled high, every bite tastes like tradition.

If you’re craving the real deal deli experience with standout bagels and a true neighborhood feel, Rein’s is the place. Just be ready to wait a few minutes—it’s popular for all the right reasons.
