The service from the moment we arrived was excellent, and our waiter was very friendly and attentive. We tried the lamb special, and it was exquisite, one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The bar options are great, and overall, it’s a cozy spot that’s perfect for dining with your partner, friends, or family.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere. You wouldn’t guess this little spot would be as good as it is but well worth a visit. The pulled duck nachos were incredible. Our server, Josh, was really attentive and engaged and so funny. We drove 2 hours to come here and would make the long trip again for this place

Amazing food, loved the fish dip(salmon) and my fresh catch(mahi) sandwich. Fries are crispy and the tomato bisque is really yummy. Also liked the birria sandwich! Only thing I would suggest is the bread for the dip is too crunchy, might want to swap that to a softer bread. I highly recommend this place, we were just visiting and enjoyed our time even on a rush!

A must stop while in Brunswick. Homestyle food in a relaxed environment. Josh was our server and when he realized we had been seated for 10 minutes without being greeted he came over and went above and beyond for the rest of our visit to ensure our experience would be enjoyable. The prime rib dinner and fried shrimp was delicious. I highly recommend the custom board options as an appetizer and froth of botanist cocktail. Side note: Sunday supper for $15 was a fantastic bag for your buck. Dessert included and I had the bread pudding which absolutely melted in my mouth and finished off the evening perfectly.

This is the first time we have visited the restaurant. We arrived for an early dinner at 4:00 only to find the kitchen would not open until 5:00. In addition, they had no open tables until 7:30. But we were able to sit at the bar and eat there after the kitchen opened.
They had good happy hour drink specials for $6 cocktails. My old-fashioned was excellent with a healthy pour and my wife’s Aperol spritz was on point. We shared the duck nachos, which had a nice medley of flavors and plenty of shredded duck. We then split a Caesar salad and the shrimp & grits.
We were there until almost 7:00, yet over half the tables were empty so we were surprised we couldn’t get one. But the bartender, Andrew, did an excellent job of caring for us and we wanted for nothing.
Overall, a great meal with good drinks and excellent service! We will definitely return.

Food’s great, drinks are good, but Josh? He’s the best!
Come for the food, stay for the drinks, but you’ll love Josh the most!
Great food. Good drinks. Best Josh.
The food’s a delight, the drinks impress, but Josh? Hands-down the best!
If you haven’t gathered it Josh isn’t here, we won’t be either.

We stop in Brunswick, Ga because it’s the halfway mark to our house in NC. I stumbled across this restaurant when I Googled “Good restaurants in Brunswick”. I read some reviews and it seemed as if we’d like it. We walked in and the couple of ladies at the host stand didn’t seem too friendly, but that didn’t deter us. We sat at the bar and the bartender, Andrew, I believe his name is, smiled and brought over menus, immediately, and asked if we had been in before. We hadn’t and he told us we came on a great night, “Date night”. The menu included 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, and 1 bottle of wine (photo of that menu is included). I was able to choose a different wine for just a $10 upcharge…fantastic! We ordered the duck nachos and they were delicious. Duck served on wontons woth pickled onions and brie. For dinner, my husband ordered the fish of the day which was sheepshead (aka prisoner fish because of is black and white stripes) fish encrusted in pecans with a sweet potato “home fries style” side. I ordered the steak with the garlic mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. I gave them a 4 star rating for the food because my husband and I both agreed it was excellent food for what we received, how it was prepared (my steak was a perfect medium rare), and the cost, but it wasn’t a blow us away 5. However, we told Andrew this would be our regular stop every time we stop in Brunswick. We will be there this coming weekend and are looking forward to it.

The food and drinks were incredible. Brought my partner here for his birthday as a second option (first one would’ve been closed by the time we got there) and honestly it had to be meant to be because everything was delicious. We got the pulled duck nachos, the creamy vodka tortiglioni, and the lamb for dinner. I got the Froth of Botanist and Berried Alive for drinks, and the water didn’t taste like tap water. Service was great, I love the hipster atmosphere in general, and again food and drinks were *chefs kiss*
And the portion sizes were bigger than what we expected, not like a tiny gourmet portion but not massive, literally the perfect size for a night out.

The drinks are fabulous and the service was friendly.
The food is… not good. Husband got gnocchi. The sauce tasted like a can of Ragu with a touch of cayenne. It was devoid of flavor or balance. The couple next to me got steaks with cafeteria style scoops of mashed potatoes. Hilarious when you’re paying market prices.
I got the shrimp and grits. They tried to hide congealed old grits heated by a microwave (again that ice cream scoop) with a thick cream-based sauce that smothered everything else they used.
On the bright side the portion was large, but if it’s not something you want to eat, does the portion matter?
All in all, this place is trying too hard compared to what’s coming out of the kitchen. Go for a drink, but take a walk to find food after.

My friends and I visited this restaurant on a Saturday evening to catch up and enjoy some good conversation. The service was about what we expected—standard but pleasant. Our waiter was kind, attentive, and executed his role perfectly.
As for the food, it was a mixed experience.
Flounder Special: The dish was okay. The almond topping was a bit overwhelming, and the saffron rice lacked the depth and uniqueness I was hoping for.
Fried Chicken: This was a boneless breast rather than traditional bone-in, and while it was fine, it didn’t have the bold flavor I usually enjoy. The greens, however, were the best part of the plate—rich, well-seasoned, and satisfying.
Lamb Chops: The chops were cooked to perfection, tender and juicy. Unfortunately, the lemon risotto tasted more like a lemon-scented candle than a balanced, savory side. I also tried the street corn risotto, which was better but unusually sweet. At $33, I expected more lamb and a better-executed risotto.
Mussels: These were hands-down the highlight of the meal. Perfectly cooked, flavorful, and generously portioned, they stood out as a dish worth returning for.
Overall, we enjoyed the atmosphere and each other’s company. If you prefer food that’s lightly seasoned and on the milder side, this may be your kind of place. It’s not bad—just not bursting with the bold, unforgettable flavors I tend to seek out.
If you do go, I recommend ending the night with a stop at Vampire Penguin, the dessert spot just down the street. That treat was the cherry on top of our night out.
