Located in a quiet area off of kenmore blvd in the historic district. This is what seems to be a family owned restaurant. You can smell the food as you park and approach, while also seeing someone out back freshly grilling food for the day.
The option to eat in and dine out are available as there are full tables and chairs in restaurant. They are also available on door dash and grub hub.
I ordered the salmon and shrimp Caribbean pasta. As well as, banana pudding and a side of Macaroni and cheese. I think I totaled out to about 28 dollars with the pasta being 18 of that. But the price to portion for the main dish was incredible. There was a good portion of shrimp and full fillet of salmon in the pasta. I was able to eat off the pasta 3 times before finishing. The banana pudding was fresh from scratch and baked that day and still warm when I received my order.
The pasta was a little greasy from the cheese in the sauce, there could have been more wafers in the banana pudding for texture and taste, and more air circulating throughout the restaurant to keep it cooler but All three food items were good and the meat was seasoned well.

I wanted so bad to give this a 5 star rating. First off, this was my first time ordering from them and I don’t care, I will DEFINITELY order again. Mistakes were made, but everything was too good to not give them another try. I ordered the jerk chicken over rice and the jerk shrimp over rice and banana pudding. To my surprise it was the REAL banana pudding like Grandma used to make. My yellow rice , mashed potatoes, Mac n cheese were all made exactly how I like it. However, my chicken still had blood in it when I poked it with my fork. Even though I’m not thrilled about that, I will just cook it more myself. I never trust chicken on the bone anyways. My hubby had the shrimp, mashed potatoes, yams and coleslaw. It wasn’t the sides he ordered but trust me when I say, he wasn’t mad AT ALL! It was still good! I will definitely be back and telling more folks!

This was my first time having Reggie Rays and I loved my experience. I ordered a Rib dinner with Mac and cheese and greens with an extra side of yams along with peach cobbler for dessert. My food was hot and fresh and it was absolutely delicious! The ribs had a great taste, the Mac and cheese was so cheesy and the greens and yams was perfect. The lady that served me was so nice and made me feel welcomed. I will definitely be coming back again. Thank you Reggie Ray’s for the amazing service and great food!

So I just ordered from here as a first timer thru door dash. Let’s get into it. I ordered a double cheeseburger ..the burger was literally two burgers two buns and two pieces of cheese ..no tomato ..ketchup ..mayo onion..lettuce nothing..not even on the side luckily the burger is well seasoned..the fries were given in bulk because they are a little below average I didn’t know fries where included anyways so that’s a plus I guess
I ordered bbq chicken ..sweet potatoes and again Mac and cheese which I received with this meal..the chicken is decent but nothing special.. the bbq sauce does all the work no seasoning on their part..the Mac and cheese is the perfect texture but no salt and the sweet potatoes are amazing! Some of the best sweet potatoes I ever had ! They had the most seasoning of everything we ordered !
However the way my food was packaged half my Mac and cheese tasted like sweet potatoes because it’s all thrown together in a container with no dividers..but with how bland my Mac and cheese was ..prolly a blessing
Lastly the fried chicken meal with Mac and cheese and again french fries. The chicken skin was discarded by my child it wasn’t her favorite the meat was good she wasted the fries..
Would I order here again? ..prolly not unless I exhausted all other options. I have some suggestions
Include salt and pepper packets and eating utensils and napkins.. none of that was in my order..also better containers to keep the food divided ..and maybe more accurate photos on door dash. Thanks for reading

Food so good it’ll make you smack your grandma! Every single thing I’ve had from here has been phenomenal! The ribs are excellent. The jerk chicken is life changing. I can’t wait to try the oxtails. Expect a bit of a wait because perfection takes time, and that’s what you’re going to get. I’m an ex culinary student, and even raw chicken doesn’t have blood in it. What you’re seeing in that photo in the other review is bone marrow. It was perfectly cooked. I’d give Reggie Ray’s 100 stars if I could. Akron is lucky to have this place

Well I ordered through door dash, which is clearly more expensive & takes longer so I’ll give them a pass for the fries being cold. I’m not sure if the Famous BBQ sauce is supposed to be hot or not because it didn’t say anywhere that it was. Let me tell you, whatever sauce they put on my chicken was like I was eating fire. Do you put ghost peppers in there? Wowza!!! I was bummed it was incredibly spicy because i couldn’t eat it & the flavor was delicious. I was looking forward to the garlic buns & my dasher said they had to wait for them to go get buns from the dollar store!! The chunky onion rings were small onion ring pieces, looked like what was at the bottom of the deep fryer. Needless to say, I wasn’t thrilled.
