This is was first visit to Ref’s Bar and Grill and I will definitely be back. Their burgers are amazing and Etta the owner is a great cook. All the burgers are made from “never frozen” beef and they are so tasty! If you want a great meal at a very reasonable price, This Durand’s best kept secret. Etta has daily specials that sound amazing. You will not be disappointed if you make the trip to Ref’s!!!!

Small town bar, I went there for the Friday fish fry and got the walleye dinner. The wallet was a little dry but the flavoring was good. The tartar sauce was delicious! Same as the cornbread. Prices were pretty cheap also.

I ordered their bourbon BBQ burger. (Blitzed Burger) I thought the fact you had to be 21 or older to order it was a gimmick, but, they don’t cook all of the bourbon from the home made sauce! It was a sloppy, drippy sticky mess and I loved EVERY BITE! The sauce and the rest of the food was really great and so was the staff. We stopped in since we were riding through and we will definately stop again.

Burgers should be served on a bed of paper towels! Obviously did not let it rest before serving, coleslaw tastes like they shredded cabbage and added mayo and stuffed it in a cup.
Fries were good , i recomend the chicken sandwich if you do risk it.

Nice local hole in the wall dive bar. Friendly people. They’ve got a pool table in the back which is harder and harder to find anymore. Slots are popping too.
