I recently found this place and was excited for some new Q. The ribs were cooked perfectly but for my taste were very over seasoned and a little bit pricey. The seasoning overwhelmed any wood smoked flavor. I also had a side of shredded slaw and it was fantastic. It be great if the ribs were available with a little less seasoning.

I judge BBQ restaurants against a strange bar, can I make it better on my smoker? I say this because I am making 1 thing and planning on eating or serving it to family or friends only, and I love smoking food so it happens quite often. Its much easier to babysit a rack or 2 of ribs, pork butt, etc that will be eaten as soon as its finished resting. Making bbq so its good for a service many hours later is much more difficult.
I say that to say I have very high standards for what I call really good and Reel BBQ did not disappoint in any way!
Ordered the Dino Beef ribs, BBQ beans, Cucumber Salad, and the Pulled pork grilled cheese. All were phenomenal, i have nothing but compliments to say about the food. My kids both loved the grilled cheeses, which 1 is enough for 2 portions. My wife and I only ate half of the single rib.
This food is amazing, I am so glad I stumbled upon it while riding on the Pinellas trail earlier in the day.

After living here for a year and riding our bikes past and smelling the amazing aroma from the BBQ, we finally stopped in. I got brisket and sausage, plus cucumber salad because my wife thought it sounded really good. I’ll be honest, when there’s BBQ, I’m focused on the meat and it was fantastic. Brisket was super flavorful and tender, smoky, but the beefiness still came through. The sausage was awesome as well as was cooked perfectly; some crispy edges but not overcooked by any means. I’m not a huge salad guy, especially when there’s BBQ involved, but the cucumber salad was also great. Super refreshing and kind of resets your palate and cuts through the fattiness of the meat. We’ll definitely be back for more

Food is amazing!!! Been here twice and would travel here for another serving of the Mac and cheese, brisket queso and the tacos!!! The server was amazing! Recommend it to 5 other people, they came and loved the food as well!

I’m unsure how this place has such good reviews. I ordered A platter of pulled pork and chicken because they were out of brisket and the chicken looks like it came from a frozen bag from a grocery store. There is absolutely nothing barbecue about it. The pulled pork was extremely dry and I found a hair in it. Completed disgusted, so the platter I paid $20 for was a complete waste of money, I could’ve got a frozen bag of chicken from Publix and gotten the same quality. I also ordered six ribs and i did enjoy them. They were tender and juicy. I’m glad I ordered the ribs because the platter was not enjoyable at all. The only reason I’m not giving this place a one star is because the ribs were good. There is many other barbecue spots around that are better than this one. I’m hoping I can get a refund for this.

The owner Scott is a hell of a nice guy and the food was incredible. Some of the best ribs I have ever had in my life. I would recommend this to everyone.
