I went with a group and it was a good experience. Everyone seemed to enjoy the food, including the two Caribbean folks . The flavors and *the spice* was on point. Many places tone down the flavor for….broader audiences…but they do not and I loved that. I got the jerk chicken plate with rice and peas and cabbage. Another person got curry goat, which wasn’t on the menu but the server let us know about it. They both were good.

I would give it five stars but nothing was SPECTACULAR.

The staff was kind. The food was good. They had TVs for people to watch any games that might be on.

I’d definitely come again if I’m out this way.

The Reef was the perfect spot for an early dinner with my Day 1s. The food was excellent, the music and atmosphere were just right for a GDO, and the service was top tier. We’ll definitely be back.

Here at Reef’s enjoying my man birthday ! Bailey is our waitress and she’s amazing. She made my husband birthday very special I truly want to thank her for being so accommodating to us. She even came out with a cake singing happy birthday! The food was pretty good. I ordered the snapper my husband ordered curry goat all was delicious. The bartender is top tier the drinks are just what I needed. The hostess was sweet greeted with a warm smile and welcomed us . Everyone there is a gem. First night in Philadelphia!

Service reviews are mixed but generally positive: many diners praise friendly and inclusive staff, particularly servers who help explain menu items and pair with drink options. However, a recurring theme in reviews is inconsistency — some guests report slow service and occasional delays during busy periods, along with variable experiences at the front host stand.

Was going there because they had hookah but we got there too early to get hookah seating. Decided to wait at the bar because after speaking to the security guard we decided to try the rum punch… IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! After a few more drinks , we ordered food and we were committed to staying! With the dj playing bomb music, we didn’t even care about hookah… the vibes were EVERYTHING. We went on a Friday, I going to try back on a Saturday!

We were in another part of town trying to find something to eat and found Reef right off South Street. This restaurant was perfect, they seem to be down staff so we sat at the bar where they Bartender was so attentive and helpful. The food was OMG good. I love Oxtails and these were some of THE BEST OXTAILS EVER!!! Tender, juicy, full of flavor!!! My husband’s curry shrimp were very good as well and he said his drink was nice and strong. We will be back, and would recommend this to anyone seeking some of the best Jamaican food outside of Jamaica

I’ve been coming to the restaurant for years and the food has always been excellent. I moved about an hour away and still order take out. This past week I ordered my usually and when I got home I was so disappointed. The salmon was burned on the bottom, pasta was dry and cheese wasn’t melted. I’ve NEVER experienced this before. I called the next day to inform the manager and a lady by the name of Tanisha answered the phone. She was very nonchalant and non empathetic in regard to my bad experience. She told me a manager would call me the next day. I never received a call so I called back and Tanisha answered again and once she realized it was me I could hear the irritation in her voice. My review isn’t because of the food, it’s actually due to Tanisha and her nonchalant attitude/tone of voice. She informed me that she was a manager and I informed her of her bad attitude. She goes on to say that we only talked for 2 minutes the day before as if that made a difference. Where’s the customer service? How could you be so rude to a customer? Now I have 2 complaints, the food and Tanisha the manager.

The food was great. The service was great. My server was great. I didn’t get any alcoholic drinks. The atmosphere was chill and nice. What I didn’t like was the pricing I feel like I was overcharged where I should’ve spent been spending $30-$35. I was charge about $41 and some change just for myself. I didn’t have any alcohol I got charged five dollars I was for a can I repeat I can of Coca-Cola for five dollars. at most restaurants soda is no more than $3.99 and then it was two different taxes on the bill. It was food tax. Plus another tax not quite sure what that text was about. I said at the bar we didn’t sit at the tables and it was like a automatically 18% gratuity including the two tax and so therefore that brought a $30 bill to a $41 bill. I just feel like they really got over on the bill part and I wasn’t feeling it and then they charge $20 just to go upstairs to dance in here music no I don’t have a problem with the cover charge but it wasn’t even 11 o’clock. We were in there before 9 o’clock and I feel like it should’ve been a $10 cover charge the dance hall open up at 10 o’clock. It wasn’t even 11 o’clock yet and they were charging $20 just to go in to the dance hall. I’ve never been to a place where you if you have to pay $20 before 11 o’clock and I never been to a place that you have to pay to get in if you are already there for the restaurant in part. I feel like all of it is just to get over. It is excessive and overpriced….especially if you sit there and you eat in a restaurant before hand.

Ambiance was great! Drinks were great! Staff was great!

On one plate: ribs, they were hot and freaking DELICIOUS!! cabbage, very good BUT very cold (should have been hot. Rice and beans, good but cold and hard.

On 2nd plate: curry chicken ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS BUT the chicken was cool. Asparagus, was good. Sauteed green beans, WERE NOT SAUTEED nor seasoned.

MAC and CHEESE, was hot and great.
