The food was flavorful and nicely presented, with portions that were just right. Good company along with the atmosphere was lively and fun live music, people dancing, and good energy all around. I love Redwood Cafe has been quite the hub of “Community” lately! Whenever my family comes to town they always want to dine here. They are so warm, inviting and friendly! The other night we ordered take out and they had music I wish we stayed. This morning it was packed. The service is stellar and I LOVE THIS PLACE!

I got the redwood burger medium rare, it was absolutely massive and well made. It did not come with mustard and ketchup, however it strangely came with mayo on the side. The fries were steak style and came in a massive portion as well. There was a striking array of desserts at the counter to choose from. You must approach the counter to order and pay all at once then seat yourself with a number and your drink. The waitress brings your food and takes your plate when you’re done. The vibe is very quaint and folksy, it is clearly a community hub for the city with a lot of live bands and group meetups in it’s very spacious interior.

It is with great sadness that I need to give this restaurant a one star review. They overcharged me they overcharged my friend, and I watched them as they overcharged other customers before and after me. I pointed out to them that the price on their menu was different than the price that they were charging, and they looked at me and shrugged. All they said was I’m sorry we haven’t updated the menu yet. I’m sorry that’s illegal! it’s not OK and it took me having to ask several people and finally demanding and threatening in order for them to refund the overcharge money. This is simply unacceptable and I have it in my mind to report them.

I had high hopes from all the great reviews, especially with the beautiful wood fire burning in the cast iron stove. But I was really unhappy with the coffee.

The worst Huevos Rancheros ever. Simply a pile of wet pico de gallo with some beans added and eggs on top. The guacamole and chips were extra. (The guacamole never came). I’m sorry I didn’t send it back.
