Went right before the lunch rush on a Tuesday. Waited in a short line before ordering. Got the Reuben on rye and a drink. The Reuben was the best I’ve had at a restaurant! The bread was perfect! Slightly crispy, toasted just right. It was served piping hot. I would recommend this place, and I would definitely go back again! They served Coke and Pepsi products!! Interesting tidbit: There is a face jug on a shelf behind the cash register. We inquired about it and were told the original restaurant owner’s ashes were in it!!

Just happened upon this place while passing through. Best burgers we’ve had in years! Fries were great too. Service friendly and welcoming. Simple, comfortable and kinda fun atmosphere. Will be back

Redneck Gourmet – A Tasty Stop in Downtown Newnan

Stopped in for lunch and went with the Veggie Philly paired with a basket of fried pickles. Both hit the spot—plenty of flavor, fresh ingredients, and a nice crisp bite on the pickles that paired perfectly with their homemade buttermilk ranch dressing (absolutely excellent!). The hoagie roll was soft yet sturdy enough to hold the cheesy mushroom-and-onion-packed veggie filling.

It was also refreshing to see solid vegetarian options on a Southern-style menu—a welcome touch when many spots overlook it. Washed everything down with a half-sweet, half-unsweet iced tea, which was perfectly balanced and refreshing.

Highlights:

– Delicious fried pickles with standout homemade buttermilk ranch

– Veggie Philly full of flavor and satisfying

– Vegetarian-friendly choices

– Great iced tea, customizable to your liking

A relaxed spot with hearty portions and friendly vibes—worth a visit whether you’re after a big burger, a loaded sandwich, or a lighter veggie option.

Great local attraction in the quaint downtown area of Newnan. It was a great experience from start to finish. The food was good, I had the chicken salad melt. The chicken salad is not drowning in mayo like a traditional sandwich, this one was more like shredded chicken on a grilled cheese. The sandwich was nice and hot just the way I like it. The fries were good too. The service is what really impressed me. The cashier took my order and eventually cleaned the table. The expo was great bringing out the food and making sure we enjoyed our meal. I will be returning in the near future.

Stopped in for lunch the other day, cute, eclectic place with a menu that focuses mostly on burgers and hot dogs, but has a good bit of other things. Wife and I both had Hot dog meals (which come with the specialty dog, a side, and a drink). I opted to upgrade my side to their fried pickles. I’m glad I did. My wife went with the standard fries, which looked really good but were only warm and a tad limp. The fried pickles were stellar. More thinly sliced that a lot of places, a generous portion, not too salty, and hot and fresh. The dogs were good as well. I do wish I had studied the menu just a bit more (it’s counter service and I always feel an urgency to get my order in at the counter) as they have a cup or bowl of Brunswick stew on the menu and I always like to try a place’s stew when they have it. Would have been perfect for a cold, brisk day. Still, nice place to drop in for lunch if your out and about in downtown Newnan.

First time here, I didn’t care for it. I don’t care for the style of ordering at the counter while waiting in a long line and waiting for people to not just order their food but also shop for t-shirts. It took too long for the food to come out. The lady at the register had an attitude at my hubby when she asked if he wanted things on the burger that didn’t come with it, but she said it did. The food was okay, definitely not the best southern food.

Breakfast was not good; scrambled eggs were dry and overcooked/brown, hash browns and sausage patty were obviously reheated pre-frozen “food”, probably Sysco, with no flavor. Paying dine-in prices for a cheap breakfast that you order at a counter and have no waitress is an odd setup. This may be a cool space for evenings due to the noted hidden speakeasy, but I wouldn’t count on the food being any good if breakfast is this bad. Seating was also very uncomfortable, just old wooden chairs, so not ideal for everyone.
With several other breakfast options around, I’m disappointed we chose this one for our only morning in this adorable downtown area.

Lots of choices. Something for everyone from salads to wraps to burgers. The chicken salad sandwich was refreshing. The fries were perfectly salted. The country feel of natural, exposed brick and old photos was loads of fun. Highly recommend for a Saturday lunch stop.

I came here to just take a picture of the Alan Jackson mural and ended up going inside to eat. First off, the atmosphere was inviting, and I loved all the memorabilia they have displayed. The food came with very generous proportions but I ate every bit of it because it was so delish! I then got to speak to the owner/owners mom who was such a sweet southern lady! She told me a little bit about how the restaurant was started, a little bit about Alan Jackson and about the lovely town of Newnan. I really enjoyed listening to her and hearing about it all. I will definitely come back and order again when I’m in the area!

I got the chicken salad sandwich on a croissant and my husband got the chili dog. We also got onion rings on the side, and they were the best onion rings I have ever had. The batter was light and delicious. We will definitely be back to try other items. We went on a Saturday and they stopped serving breakfast at 10:30.
