This place is a must-try! The fried chicken was incredible crispy, fresh, and full of flavor. But what really made the experience special was Katie. Upon pulling up to the restaurant, I really didn’t know if the inside was open or not being nothing indicated OPEN. The front is just bare, no inviting signs posted.
The good. I really thought the spicy 3 piece chicken bone in was great. Perfect temp, a touch of spice and good fried texture without all the grease.
The Bad. I wasn’t much on the side dishes. The potatoes had absorbed all of the gravy being prepped and plated in a warmer caused a gritty texture. The side of coleslaw, I really thought could have been made with buttermilk for the sweetness to pair with the spicy chicken. All and all I give it a solid 3 just because of the sides.

The chicken is very chrispy, moist &, seasoned well. The sides are also seasoned well & are very good. The combos are pricy, though. The decor doesn’t make sense. A bunch of old records on the wall with a red chicken. Lmao! I’ve gone 3×s a wk & it’s always very hot in the restaurant. It’s almost unbearable to eat in there. A young man working sat on his phone for a few minutes before I had to call him out to take my order.

We got our food to go. The service was excellent. The food was delicious. It was our first time but it definitely will not be our last. We enjoyed the chicken tenders and fries. My husband sampled red beans and gumbo. Everything was well seasoned!!!! Job well done!

Well here it is, today was my first time eating at Redbird. I can honestly say the chicken made my taste buds dance. My belly was well pleased, and then felt like doing cartwheels. The chicken was seasoned and fried to perfection, crispy and juicy. It taste like Chicken Shack however it was better and not greasy. Now why did I give it a 4, well the chicken showed up but the fried okra didn’t. I was not pleased with biting into raw dough. I Love fried okra. As excited as I was about the chicken, I was heartbroken about the okra. I will definitely go back to Redbird but I guess I’ll request that the okra be fried extra. ☺️

My first time trying Redbird. I really loved the Rooster rolls, the man that waited on me was polite and got my order correct. Pricing was fair and I had my food within a few minutes. I will be returning again when I am ready for more fried chicken.

The chicken nuggets were amazing. I also ordered the 2 pc dark spicy chicken which was great as well, Hot and fresh and juicy. Prices are very cheap and the food is fantastic. I hardly ever do food reviews of any place or restaurant but this place is great. I live 45- 1 hour away and I’d def be back.
