Our retail selection features a variety of cigars and accessories, beers from imports to craft and wines from all over the world. Come by and dine at our restaurant, The Lounge, enjoy a cigar on our year-round smoking patio or book a party in our onsite event center, The Loft. Please keep in mind our store hours are different than our restaurant. The Lounge is CLOSED on Mondays.

There were 4 of us 2 ran a few min behind. It took 15 min for server to come and ask if we wanted drinks! I feel that the quality of food has changed. Need more choices! It took over 15 min and 2 requests to bring our check. Then to find out she had 11 tables! Where is management?

We all Loved the place but after a gathering almost half of us were left with terrible stomach pains bloating gas and inflammation of the intestines. I just thought it was me but after mentioning the pain and walking funny holding my stomach come to find out 4 out of 6 people I asked said the same thing happened to them. Some people didn’t eat the same things we think we narrowed it down to wraps/sandwiches but we aren’t really sure. Just be careful as I almost went to the Hospital the pain was that bad and I knew something was wrong ecoli idk but something happened to half or more of the 40+ group

Last night I attended the non-alcoholic tasting event at this establishment and it was a fantastic experience! The vendors were informative and pleasant, and I was extremely impressed with Red Wine and Brew’s retail selection of alcohol free products! Whether you are looking for mocktail ingredients, or a variety of non-alcoholic wine and beer choices, they have it all. I cut alcohol out of my life one year ago, and I greatly appreciate that more and more establishments are carrying and offering non-alcoholic options. I do want to mention that they also carry a huge variety of regular wine and beer products. Truly, something for everyone, which is great!
After the event, we dined at the bar and the food was awesome! I had the salmon and it was cooked perfectly. Cory, the bartender, was amazing and we enjoyed the “Very Berry Mocktails” he suggested. Every staff member we encountered was wonderful and helpful. It’s been a few years since I have been to this Red Wine and Brew location, and this will now be a place I frequent more regularly!

This was great for a kid free date night with the hubby! It was quiet and laid back with a friendly staff that gives you space and isn’t in your face every 5 minutes (Shout out to Stephan S)!
The drink list was phenomenal and there were plenty of awesome $4 beers to choose from! Not to mention, there’s basically a Drank Library attached with make your own 6 packs and some really cool flavors!
Now for the food… The Baja Fish Tacos were AWESOME and made with some Delicious Walleye The Cuban was pretty good but, it had a taste of tuna that was just a little odd. And we were excited to try the Bistro Bison Burger and, even though we asked for Medium, we were still given the “chef recommended medium rare”. I get it, it’s better this way or whatever have you but, I couldn’t even eat it so I took it home and cooked it a little longer and it was fabulous!!

This place is very clean and connected to a large store of every beer and wine that you can think of from every region. The bar has a really nice selections of beers that you try before purchasing and a nice plethora of wines and mixed cocktails. You can purchase cigars in the store and enjoy them or a cigarette out on a designated outdoor area(that is tented and heated in winter months). The food is fine if you like basic flatbreads and a small menu of burgers and basic food. The reason I say it is basic is because they used to have a really nice menu of oxtail, a red pepper sauce gnocchi, a goulash style dish and a lot of other really nice choices. I feel that they have shortened the menu down to a basic bar style menu that is a little pricey, instead of the really nice restaurant selection that they used to have, especially when you can make the restaurant side as nice as the bar side of it. The place is very clean and the servers are very kind and knowledgeable on both the store and restaurant side.

This is a tough one. We went there last night for our annual Christmas dinner with friends of ours and thought RWB would be a nice choice. Sadly, we were wrong. I made a reservation the day before and upon arrival were seated in the not so nice porch near the fireplace. There was plenty of tables in the main dining room with RESERVED on them so its unclear to me why we were put out on the enclosed patio. Lets just say the vibe was not festive at all and the smoke from the lounge comes in leaving a bad odor as I have asthma.
Here is the rub, the service was just bad. We waited for everything, Ordering, Apps, Drinks, Refills, Dinner, you name it. Our dinner took 2 hours and 15 minutes.
Then there were the acoustics and noise. Being on the patio and a large group next to us was very uncomfortable and just plain not a good experience at all. My opinion is the staff should have moved us back to the main room but no one seemed to care. Even though it was obvious it was a very unpleasant time for us.
Our server was attentive, nice, and helpful when around but that is the problem, he was never around. I guess due to many tables, I don’t know. But after spending hundreds I expected a better experience and sadly it was a dud.
RWB I had high expectations but this time it was very bad. As I often do in these reviews I await your response. In this case I think RWB needs to step up and do something to reconcile this as we dropped a lot of $$$ in your establishment for a very troubling experience. We live in Mentor and drive by RWB almost weekly so as I say the ball is in your court.

I haven’t been to a wine/ beer store this expansive in a long time. The selection seems endless and unique and the store itself is really attractive. Pretty decent selection of cigars as well and a really nice patio to enjoy all of your purchases. Thanks for the great customer service Karley.

This place had some of the best shrimp and grits I have ever had even in the south. (Serve this dish with a spoon please.) The calamari was perfectly cooked and tender but the aoli was a bit too thin and lacking in cilantro. The lime flavor was great. The Cuban was excellent as were the boneless wings. The fries had a bit of coating making them crunchy and the sweet potato fries were also good. The service was a tad lacking in the our server appeared and acted as if he had better things to do and forgot the spoon. The place was packed and EXTREMELY loud which is horrible for people with hearing issues. We asked to have the door closed which they did but opened it back up within 5 minutes. I would go back for the food but that cacophony at 430-500 on a Wednesday is not what I want for dinner ambiance.

Definitely a gem in the city of Mentor. Cozy great wine and beer selection excellent service and great food. I had the Meatloaf dinner on smashed potatoes my fiance had the flatbread pizza both were excellent.
