My husband and I ate there this afternoon and it was a pleasant enough experience. The pulled pork was good. Was a little disappointed with the corn pudding and the slaw was dry. We were also surprised we had to pay extra for fries for one of the sides. Also they offered no bread. Most places give you Texas toast with the meal. It would be a really great place if they would improve on a just few small things. The atmosphere was cozy.

This place should be busier than it is. BBQ is great, sides are very tasty (mac & cheese, esp), friendly people, large portions. It’s priced a little higher than other restaurants in the neighborhood but you do get your money’s worth. They have tons of different sauces, even a horseradish sauce for brisket. Local and national beer by the can. I’ve been back several times and the quality and service have been consistently good.

This is one of the better bbq places near Lexington, I haven’t had a bad meal yet. The brisket and pulled pork are always nice and moist with a great flavor and smoke. You can’t go wrong with the mac n cheese or baked beans, try the beer cheese grits for something new. The people here are nice and patient as there is a good select of sides to choose from.

Food is okay but when you pay for all you can eat buffet at a BBQ restaurant, you would think there would be some meat not scraps from hours before to choose and things from the breakfast buffet. Lost a customer and I don’t recommend. It was like we were putting out the staff by being there eating.

Terrible. I got pulled chicken, greens and potato salad. Chicken was all white meat for some reason, very dry. Greens had good texture but so salty I couldn’t eat them. My husband tried them too and agreed way too salty. Potato salad had no flavor and way too much celery.

Being a retired pit master I was very disappointed. Ordered the 2 meat plater with two sides. Was served two day old ribs that had been steamed warm with an uncleaned steamer the ribs smelt like an old country ham that just come out of the soaking water before you cook it. I told the waitress about it she said sorry and brought out a nother order of rids that was even worse. So they give me a 10% discount like for real these rids can kill someone . Get it together red state this isn’t your style I know I have eat at the one in Goergetown before and just to show I know what I’m talking about here’s the picture of the ribs. Unfit for my dog…….

The food is great IN CYNTHIANA. “BUT” The service lacked, we had to ask for bread, our main side, the portions are half what should be expected, but as I stated earlier it’s a shame that such great tasting food is extremely disappointing because of the other service anticipated items listed before. Could be the best place ever to eat if the service meet the taste.

Out of everything except pulled pork at 5pm on a saturday. Still took 30 minutes to get food as 5 employees wandered in and out the kitchen complaining about having to deal with running out of food. One employee kept using the bottom of his shirt to wipe his face…not very appetizing. Food was okay, did not overcome the lack of leadership and organization.

Not a huge selection but, what they do have is good. The brisket and pulled pork sandwich is great. The nachos are simple and delicious… with bbq sauce and jalapenos.

First visit. Ribs were very good. Slaw, baked beans, potato salad and corn pudding were also. Have to stay middle ground until we try more.
