I went to this Dairy Queen at about 9pm on 2/10/25 to get my wife and I some ice-cream and I’ve been to a lot of different Dairy Queen locations getting the same order before. I assumed that all of them were adding the extras to my shake that I requested for but apparently not because I got exactly what I asked for here and you could taste and see the difference (extra Strawberries). If you order here and customize your order you will get exactly what you ordered and paid for. Thank you to the crew at this Dairy Queen.

Ordered 2 small blizzards for a total of $11 and some change. They were way over blended like a shake. I kindly asked them to remake them and not overblend. Once again they were like shakes. Zero chunky bits. I then just asked for a refund. If I’m going to splurge almost $12 on 2 blizzards I want blizzards…not shakes. The employees were polite about it (I was very polite) I asked if DQ had reduced the topping allowance so much that no blizzard ingredients survived the blend; they only said they put the measured amount in. Come on DQ…you got the prices so high we can’t afford to bring the family for ice cream yet your food costs are probably off the charts with wasted product. I worked at DQ as a teen in school. I know how to mix a blizzard; I suspect the ice cream was too soft and the person was just way over blending and not enough topping to survive. See the photo…that’s basically a shake.

The service was absolutely phenomenal. We had a large or with lots of requests. The staff was friendly and went above and beyond, making another ice cream for my daughter after hers melted. The outside seating was nice for a quick burger, fries, and ice cream treat with the family.

Worst dairy queen ever. Blizzards here SUCK! They skimp your ice cream like crazy and all the mix ins. I have tried this place and few times and it’s always bad. The cookie dough blizzard wasn’t even mixed thoroughly and there was so much syrup it tasted terrible. I also only had 5 little pieces of cookie dough in the whole blizzard. This place is a joke

Friendly service, food made correctly and it was delicious. I also ordered a pup cup for my dog which she loved with the added dog biscuit. I will definitely be back for dinner and dessert.

I had a fantastic experience at your Winchester Ave Dairy Queen! The speed at which they served our food was impressive. Not only did our orders come out quickly, but everything was incredibly hot and delicious. The staff was also exceptionally friendly and attentive, which made our visit even more enjoyable. I couldn’t have asked for a better combination of great food and top-notch service. I’ll definitely be returning to Dairy Queen for more of their tasty treats and warm hospitality!
My only complaint is that the freezers in the dining room are really loud.

The garlic parmasan tenders were torn apart in pieces. It looked as if someone ate part of them. The flavor was not very good. The fish sandwich was extremely salty and had been sitting under the warmer for some time.
We ordered 2 different blizzards, medium size. One had only 3 pieces of cheesecake, and 1 strawberry in the whole thing! The other had only 2 pieces of chocolate truffle! Yes, I counted. At a cost of over $6.00 a piece, it should contain much more than that. Very disappointed.

While the place didn’t seem to be located in a vibrant area of WV, it was fine for what it was. The building was a bit toasty and I believe there was already a fly in the building. Keep in mind that this is around their opening hours. I asked them about their record day (which turned out to be their day of most profit) and it took them a bit to talk to each other before responding back. I am not really complaining about it, most likely because they don’t often get asked about it. Overall, the place is fine for what it is.

Sunny day today and 57 degrees, so of course, it was the perfect day to decide to go through drive-through and get a medium twist cone and a small hot fudge Sunday with peanuts! Bring on the spring and summer weather so we can get more ice cream!
