Best coffee shop in town, full stop! Muffin was top tier, service was friendly and helpful, my wife’s latte was one of the top 3 she’s ever had and they had a keto-friendly menu which warmed my heart. On top of that, we felt so welcomed! Thank you Red Silo!

We got a strawberry matcha, an iced chai, and a cinnamon roll. The matcha was not good. It was very chalky. The chai was grainy and watery. The cinnamon roll was very hard but the frosting was delicious.

On October 16, 2025, I entered Red Silo and went up to place an order, the shop wasn’t extremely busy at all. A group of four ahead of me, and a couple of groups behind me by the time I ordered.

My order wes simple… 16 oz. brewed coffee with half & half and an espresso shot. The person at the register was nice and professional.

This is when things got weird. There was one barista. She seemed overwhelmed as she was making the order ahead of me. She then was multitasking with the orders behind me as she made my order and placed it in front of me saying the order (but not mentioning the Half & Half). It didn’t have the half & half.
Before even touching the cup I looked around to see if i needed to ad the H&H myself. Not seeing it I asked her where the cream was. While still working on other drinks she said it is behind the counter. When I asked if I could have some she replied, in a condescending tone, that she was busy making other drinks and that I needed to wait.

What the heck… I ordered it with Half and Half.
The order label on the cup clearly says Half and Half.
And she is treating me as if I was putting HER out to give me some freaking Half and Half!!!

It’s not like I had walked away and came back trying to cut in line to add something to my order.
I hadn’t moved from my spot or even touched the coffee cup before asking for it in the first place!!

After completing multiple drinks that were ordered after me, she finally completed my order by adding the H&H.
No apologies…
Just an attitude that I had totally put HER out!

What a letdown when trying a new place while out of town.

Top-tier local-roaster artisan coffee experience! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. All coffees are featured with their tasting notes and roast level clearly displayed. We ordered two pour-overs and an espresso double shot and everything was absolutely amazing! Also the location is right in the heart of downtown! We loved our experience!

Red Silo cup… I fill you up!

The day after flying into Denver, Cassey, Caleb and I went to Golden to do some exploring. I asked if we could stop somewhere for coffee since that’s my jam and so we took to exploring the downtown area of Golden for that sweet sweet caffeine hit.

We had a few options but Red Silo won since I was looking for a more traditional coffeehouse versus some place that just served coffee. So, we dipped in and got in line for some espresso delish.

But! Their espresso machine was currently broken so I was heartbroken to not get my usual americano. With that depressing news, I had to think quick for something else. I settled on a cold brew and eyed the delicious-looking baked goods in the display case as Cassey placed her order.

While you can sit in and enjoy your coffee, we were on an adventure so we took our drinks to-go. Plus with all the foot traffic coming and going, it might not be the most relaxing place to sip and sit.

The cold brew was pretty decent. My brain is pretty hardwired for americanos so it took a few sips to adjust to the cold brew but once I did, it was pretty tasty. Not my usual cup of…. tea but not bad overall. Maybe adding some flavor to this would’ve kicked it up a notch since I was out of my norm but it was pretty decent and did it’s job.

The baristas were super friendly and accommodating to trying to make the drinks people wanted besides us. Having a broken espresso machine must be stressful for the staff but the baristas took it in stride and did great.

If you find yourself wandering around Golden and need some coffee for your walk, Red Silo will get you jittery.

Love the Arvada location but find this one to be meh. Coffees were fine and made promptly but the people at the counter were . . . aloof. They weren’t rude but they weren’t friendly. We sorta felt like we were interupting them from doing something more important when we went to order. We asked the young woman taking orders how she was and got a very disinterested, “fine” and then a blank stare. It was also very hot and stuffy in the shop. The layout and flow of the space is strange and there are 4 very nasty, dirty uncomfortable chairs in the back that made the uncomfortable crowded counter stools far more inviting. Doubt we’ll go back. Too many other coffee shops to chose from.

Located on Washington Ave & 13th St in Downtown Goden. We were walking down the shops and wanted a good cup of coffee. I’m so glad we stopped here.

I tried their ‘Tomato & Egg Breakfast Croissant’ accompanied with a ‘Latte’, both delicious and very satisfying! The Croissant was served warm and was fresh, so soft it was simply happiness. Service could be a bit friendlier though, specially when handing you your coffee.

There’s plenty of seating and a good place to take out your laptop and study or get some work done. Such a nice and clean coffee spot.

Overall, we had a great experience here. I can’t wait to try more of their menu items.

This is my favorite espresso place in town. I enjoy an Americano with heavy cream at the bottom of the cup. They did not disappoint, perfect cup of coffee to greet the day.

Also, based on another review I saw, I need to tell you that they really are Service Dog Friendly.

Red Silo in Golden is clean, efficient, and staffed by people who actually like humans—a shocking concept in coffee land. The matcha is surprisingly good, the vibe is friendly, and it’s a solid step up from the overpriced sadness you get at the big chains.

Not life-changing, but dependable. Basically, Red Silo is the coffee equivalent of a high-five: reliable, pleasant, and leaves you feeling better than you did five minutes ago.

Alright my sample size is low here (one and now done) but when I asked what beans were available for a pour over (if there was like…a list) it appeared to be the biggest inconvenience I’d given the staff since the turn of the century. I’d say if you’re offering single serving filtered coffee options maybe make it easier for customers to order and enjoy? 8 minutes later a terrible cup of coffee (undrinkable) came out from behind the bar with an equivalent attitude to match. A few drinks later and into the bin it went and $5+ wasted and off to another coffee shop we went.
