Our waitress was very nice, friendly, suggestion with foods were as described. It was a Friday night, wait time was minimal. Food was good. We usually order take out, so it was nice to sit down with the family. 3.5 too 4 stars

Great place with really good food and friendly staff. Lots of food to choose from and large portions. Highly recommend! Boneless wings are actually whole chicken tenders and a large number of sauces to choose from. We go there every time we’re up at UConn (which is a lot).

Just got home with my grinder and I must say…very disappointed. Specifically asked if the rolls are dry and was told no. I can barely bite into the grinder. The rest of the ingredients are fine but a fresh softer roll would have made it so much better. Would recommend to never give a customer dry bread and you’ll get repeat bussiness.

We are in town visiting my son at UCONN and we decided to give Red Rock Cafe a go. I must say the place was pretty busy. The staff is extremely is extremely pleasant, everyone we came in contact with. However as soon as you walk in, I did not get the greatest impression of the restaurant itself, excluding staff, restaraunt itself didn’t give off clean vibes. But the boys wanted to try it so we continued on. The menu is very big and so much to choose from that you get a bit overwhelmed. I opted to have the chicken wings, they had 64+ flavors to choose from. I had the mango pineapple. It was good. The wings were juicy, tender, and you could taste the mango pineapple a little bit, and I’m content that they were not drowned in the sauce. My husband had a bacon burger without lettuce,tomato,onion and came out perfectly. The waffle fries are a bit greasy but no worries none were left at the end of the meal . My son had the same bacon burger but with all the finishes and he enjoyed his as well. The sodas though … I had a ginger ale- disgusting! My husband and son both ordered cokes and each one tasted differently so we sent one back and now it tasted ok – the weirdest thing ever since it’s out of the same machine / not sure if it’s from dirty cups or what ! We opted to skip dessert

The Margaritas were good and worth the $6.
The appetizers, well honestly we could have done without. The nachos were a bit of a joke. There was a smattering of meat, if that. The pic of them shows exactly how they were served.
The fries with mozzarella cheese and bacon, please don’t get. The fries were soggy and the “bacon” really was something you’d scoop out of a jar. Overall, the quality of the food is what was disappointing, as well as the cleanliness of the bar area. I was watching the bartender take out the wine glasses to serve wine, and I can clearly see fingerprints and smudge marks on them. That’s how they came off the shelf.
There were flies..many of them landing g all over the rims of the glasses as well. Not a clean place. I will stop right there.

Busy dinner time on a Thursday night. Got seated right away. Ordered a cocktail and the giant pretzel for two. It was huge, warm and delicious! I got a wrap, hubby got a panini. Tater tots and waffle fries. ALL good!

On Christmas Eve I placed an order at 3:51. I received a call at 4:09 from the manager, Jenna. The voicemail indicated that my food was done and “did I forget” to pick it up. I was very confused by the call and called back immediately. The pickup time according to the website ticket was for 4:20-4:30. Upon calling back another employee picked up and after I was done explaining how confused I was, I was met with a disgusting tone and told “what about it?” Then “can I hold for the manager”. I do. The manager, Jenna, picks up after a few moments and seems agitated. I explained to her all that has transpired and I ask “will someone be there for when my husband arrives?” – It wasn’t even time to be picked up, let alone be “forgotten about”. All she seemed to want to do is argue with me and to tell me she wasn’t going to argue with me. I hung up and phoned my husband to fill him in. When he arrived, he was met with a disgusting tone from Jenna. She immediately started flipping out, claiming I was the rude one (I was stunned and speechless) and saying she felt threatened and that there were cameras. I understand it was a holiday and they were closing early but I didn’t know that and the website allowed me to order. Had someone called and said they were closing I would’ve said “no problem, cancel the order, Merry Christmas and have a great night”. Instead, I was met with disgruntled employees who have no respect for their customers. I have received no correspondence from any owner or manager above Jenna since the day of this incident. I will never go back to this restaurant.

When we go grab our boy from UConn or visit, we normally will stop in this establishment. The food is great & the portions are a decent size. Staff always very polite. It’s nice to not be in a high traffic area like the other restaurants in downtown UConn.
