My husband and I stopped here for lunch on a Monday. What a refreshing change from the usual road- side fare! A combination of veteran efficiency and service with authenticity of Dakotas hospitality and warmth, serving food that is outta this world. Drew took exceptional care of our needs and was super capable and affable. We had the best soup ( potato and beef) that I think I have ever had – and were offered a free second helping!! Go figure!! My husband had honey garlic chicken wings as well and they were truly epic!! Saw other veterans there and I am convinced that this place will achieve icon status in Wall. Having waited tables in college to get through I recognize exceptional service when I see it. Having eaten pretty mediocre food in our travels I appreciate truly exceptional food preparation when I am lucky enough to find it. I think this place is a hidden gem and would love to return for the dinner menu if I get a chance. We were served quickly within minutes as were others who came after we did – no wait at all!
So thank you for the great food, authentic warmth , ample portions, , concerted attention to our needs. And thank you for your service.

The pizza was delicious!! Being from Chicago, we have low expectations of pizza while traveling, but this was very good! The barbecue chicken has Carolina Gold, mustard on top, so if that’s not your thing ask for it without.

Stopped by and found they had 4 chicken legs, garlic bread and side as a Special. I really like chicken legs, and find it hard to just have an order of legs, they were nice and crunchy outside and moist inside. As a side I had the Cowboy Beans, and they were really good. Our waiter was very friendly, we were fortunate to hit the place when it wasn’t busy. Would definitely return when we’re in the area.

My husband described the popcorn chicken as “chicken juice bombs”. They were amazing.
We enjoyed the salad bar a ton. The creamed peas were simple but really refreshing. A great mixup from the regular road trip food.
The mac and cheese had a delicious buttery taste, kind of like melt in your mouth.
The only “negatives” were that the wait for the food was a little long and that the burger wasn’t “smothered” as we would expect. The mushrooms and onions were just topped.

We stopped here after visiting the Badlands National Park. It was very disappointing. There are two sides to this restaurant and we apparently sat on the bar side which didn’t look as nice as the other side based on recent photos. The restrooms and area we sat were not as nice as some of the other reviews noted. If you still choose to go here, ensure that you sit on the good side. There is also outdoor seating.

The waitress was friendly. Unfortunately, our definitions of good differ as we do ask the wait staff at new places if they recommend we order what we have selected. The pork was dry and chewy. The chicken tenders were not good to okay depending on which child you asked. The Teriyaki wings were just okay. The wings are fried here, not grilled. If you have had Wisconsin cheese curds, do not order them from here. We got the cheddar cheese curds and they were not good. The onion petals were just okay.

Be prepared to dine with flies even indoors. There is something about flies in most of the restaurants that we went to in South Dakota.

This place is awesome! The food was excellent and the wait staff were attentive and welcoming. We ordered a garden pizza and it was loaded with veggies along with a generous portion of cheese. The Creighton burger was phenomenal and the sweet potato fries were cooked perfectly. We will be back !

We stopped in for dinner on the way to Badlands NP. Our server was fantastic and very attentive while still giving us privacy and time to talk. The salad bar was limited, but if you like a basic salad there was nothing wrong with it.

I ordered the Hamburger Steak (cooked medium) with a side of mashed potatoes. The steak itself was BOMB and I loved the onions and mushrooms. My mashed potatoes and the brown gravy were very yummy and the perfect consistency. Dinner also came with a roll and melted butter which was also good! Soft, not stale.

My boyfriend ordered the broasted chicken dinner and had equally high praises! There weren’t any vegetable side options but dinner did include a salad, which was a good substitute.

I highly recommend this roadside restaurant, especially if you are heading into the NP to camp for the night. Their food beats a portable-stove cooked meal for sure. Thanks, Red Rock!

Quite possible my favorite place to eat in SD.

Veteran owned, awesome food, cowboy atmosphere and great people.

I had steak tips, cowboy beans and coleslaw. Coby beans were AWESOME!!! Steak tips were perfectly cooked and slaw was just like mom’s.

In the middle of tourist trap paradise is this little gem. Highly recommend.

After a long drive and before we started out for the drive through the badlands national park. We needed a place that had good food. The staff were friendly and fast to order and deliver the goods to our table.
Was so surprised the beef sliders were so big, most places half the size, but here nobody went a way hungry.
The restaurant walking into sitting was clean, and even the bathroom was very clean.
This place was a hit.

This was really the only Wall restaurant open for dinner in early April. We were pleasantly surprised to find the dinner plates very delicious. My wife had the beef tips and I had the hamburger steak. The dining area was closed because of staffing. We do not care for the bar atmosphere but respect their low staffing issues and was impressed by the 2-3 staff working diligently on a Friday night.
