Reviews
My wife was skeptical at first from our last experience so she gave it a try and when we were seated we got our waitress Alexa and she was amazing.
Alexa let us change tables and took our drink order and recommended an appetizer.
I was stunned by the fact that this waitress paid attention to detail like I haven’t seen in a long time and she made a really good suggestion for appetizer which was the queso.
For the drinks again, Alexis did a really good job and paid attention to detail and we weren’t even needy.
My wife ordered the jalapeno burger with garlic fries and I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with regular fries.
All the food was good from the appetizer to our burgers. French fries drinks. This was a really good experience for us.
Again, Alexis did a really good job waiting on us and we were really happy with the service. The food quality Matt came and talked to us which we definitely praised our waitress. She was very professional and we don’t expect a lot when eating out, just the basics.
When it comes to going out again and we want a burger or an appetizer and a great atmosphere with staff and management, we will definitely be back here. I know we’re still full from eating earlier, but the whole experience was just really great and I can’t wait until we go back again.
He asked if we were rewards members, I said no, he asked if we wanted to be, I said no thank you. Then he hit me with “You don’t want free food?” in this condescending tone that made the whole interaction uncomfortable. My brother ended up signing up and got the free appetizer, but the attitude was unnecessary.
We looked over the menu and decided what we wanted. I ordered the Whiskey River Chicken Sandwich with all the gluten free substitutions and told him it needed to be gluten free. Instead of listening, he basically cut me off and said “I’ll just write gluten allergy on there and they’ll do it up,” like my allergy was some tiny detail he didn’t need to take seriously. It felt like he brushed off everything I said, and that already made me nervous about the food.
Right before he walked away to put in the order, I asked if he could put in a plate of bottomless fries for me. He looked at me and said “I gotchu” in this weird, almost creepy tone that honestly sounded like he was trying to hit on me. And he kept saying it like that throughout the whole dinner, which just made everything feel even more uncomfortable.
The appetizer came out with no plates at all. My mom had to ask for plates because there was literally nothing to put the food on.
Then the waiter brought out fries that were not gluten free and asked if I still wanted them. The fact that he even had to ask that was laughable. Why would I want fries that could make me sick. It just showed how little attention he was paying to my allergy and how insignificant he made it feel. My family ate them, and he said he would get the gluten free ones. Those fries took over twenty minutes and did not show up until after we were completely done eating.
Our food came out with no silverware. My mom had to ask for forks, and he basically dropped them on the table like he was annoyed. My brother’s lemonade sat empty for half his meal. The waiter was way more focused on hanging around the bar than checking on us or noticing anything happening at our table.
By the time my gluten free fries finally showed up, we were already done eating and honestly just laughing at how ridiculous everything had been up to that point.
Even paying was a mess. My brother’s free appetizer didn’t deduct at first. The waiter asked if we wanted to go drinks, my brother asked for lemonade and I asked for water. He brought them with no straws. At that point it was just comical.
The food itself was good, Red Robin food usually is, and my brother actually liked it. But the service was so bad it overshadowed everything else. And honestly, what is the point of having bottomless fries if you can’t even fulfill the order in the first place. I didn’t even get the bang for my buck.
I have been to the Owasso Red Robin many times and they are amazing. This location was a complete joke. I will be driving to Owasso alone from now on, since I know my brother will never go back. There goes that option. 🙁
Chicken sandwich- 1/5 stars. Chicken was rubbery, but fresh. Super overcooked. Only had one bite and did not go back for a second. It is a small piece of chicken. Fast food is better.
Royal Red Robin Burger: 4/5 stars. Much better than the chicken sandwich.
Garlic Parmesan fries: 3/5 stars. not worth the $3 extra. I preferred the regular fries better.
Our waitress was great!!! I wish I could remember her name!!
