We asked for well done burgers and recieved a greasy mess. The burgers were more med-rare and we even had to ask for new buns just to be able to pick it up without the bun falling apart. When we asked about it still being pink the chef said they cooked too temp. That’s all he had to say. You can clearly see in the picture the burger was not cooked to the appropriate temperature. We will not be eating here again. This location has gone down hill over the years. Not sure why.

I stopped in for lunch on a Sunday. It wasn’t as busy as I thought it would be. I sat at the bar because I didn’t need a whole table. The hostesses clearly were having issues over seating some areas and not spreading things out well. I was not the only one to recognize this. The bartender was great. Even though she was very busy by herself, she was attentive, funny, and friendly. She got my order just right even with some allergies and specific requests. The burger came out great!

The restaurant was pleasant! We came in around Halloween, just after the lunch rush, and the décor was incredible — fully decked out for the holiday. The atmosphere was fun and welcoming.
Our server was friendly, upbeat, and very attentive. She checked on us often and made sure we always had refills or extra sides. Service was definitely a highlight of the visit!
Now for the food… I went with my father, who calls himself a “burger expert” (and honestly, he kind of is). He ordered the Sautéed Shroom Burger with garlic fries and a water. I had the Cheesy Bacon Fondue Burger with garlic fries and a root beer float. We also shared Mozzarella Twists as an appetizer.
My father’s meal:
The Shroom Burger was unfortunately drenched in grease — it was dripping so much that the bun became soggy and hard to eat. The steak-cut garlic fries were also disappointing: they had no crisp or real garlic flavor, just a soggy mess with some parmesan sprinkled on top. He said the burger flavor itself was decent but could’ve used more seasoning, which he added at the table. The Mozzarella Twists, however, were a hit — crispy, cheesy, and not greasy at all.
My meal:
The Cheesy Bacon Fondue Burger tasted good overall, but like my dad’s, it was greasy and could’ve used more seasoning. The burger itself was cooked perfectly pink inside, but the “fondue” came on the side in a small cup — completely solidified and cold, not creamy or dippable like it should’ve been. The garlic fries were soggy, broke apart when picking them up, and had no garlic flavor at all.
The best part of my meal was definitely the root beer float. It came in a chilled mug (huge plus!) and was absolutely delicious — sweet, creamy, and refreshing. It helped cut through all the grease perfectly. I enjoyed it so much I ended up drinking three of them!
After finishing my fries, I decided to try the sweet potato fries, since the menu photo made them look crispy. Sadly, they were just as soggy and lacked flavor. The ranch dressing helped a little, but it couldn’t save them completely.
In total, the bill came to about $46 — a little less thanks to a free appetizer I got for signing up for Red Robin’s rewards program. One small issue: my dad’s glass had a small chip in it, so hopefully they double-check their glassware before sending it out to tables in the future.

My husband and I went to enjoy a rare weekday lunch together. The experience started out great with the hostess’s pleasant greeting and getting us sat at a table. The waitress eventually came over and took our order. It took a while for her to bring our drinks to the table, however, when she did she brought me the wrong beverage and did not have my husband’s cocktail. It took her some time to come back through and check on us for me to tell her about the incorrect beverage and see where my husband’s old fashioned was. Our appetizer finally arrived 30 minutes after we ordered and was delicious, however, my husband’s old fashioned was nowhere to be found. 5 minutes later his drink was brought to the table and had a whole slice of orange and pulp in the glass. Per my husband it tasted like water. Shortly after our foot came out and my husbands order was wrong. He had ordered a Whiskey River BBQ burger but was rang up as a bacon cheeseburger with the sauce on the side. When I mentioned to the waitress that was not correct she said she didn’t want to take it back to the kitchen because they may have to remake the whole thing. She said “can’t you just put the sauce on the burger.” At that point of just being over it and almost an hour into the experience without our meal coming out my husband just kept it and got extra sauce for his burger. The waitress never asked if we needed a refill until right before we left and checked on us maybe 3 times while we were there. We have been to Red Robin before and have had amazing experiences; however, today was not the case.

We had a great time stopping by the Jacksonville Red Robin. The service was great, the food and drinks were even better. I was particularly grateful for a server who was completely accommodating when I mentioned my gluten allergy. Going out to eat can be tricky, so I’m super grateful to Red Robin and our server for being on top of things.

Our server, Jessie, was wonderful. The atmosphere sucked because tvs couldn’t be adjusted and some were not even on. The hamburger was raw and when we asked about it we were told it was cooked to a temp. But pink is still raw. The bun was soggy.

Service was perfect and we were taken care of very well by Allie, thank you very much! Loved all the food and drinks. The fries came in what looked like a one person serving but they give you more though. Manager checked in with everyone and was super friendly, nice, and compassionate. My family and I have been coming to this Red Robin location since the first time they opened their doors, and I can’t think of anywhere in all of Onslow County that has better burgers and fries. Their selection of unique gourmet burgers is enough to satisfy even the most discerning of appetites. From their Jalapeño Heatwave, Gold Medal Burger, The Southern Charm, and even their Sauteed ‘Shroom Burger, there truly is something for everyone. As a man of habit, I always order the same thing every time, and that is their delicious Royal Red Robin with a side of garlic fries and ranch dip, cooked to perfection each time! But if you’re not in the mood for a burger, there are even options for you, too! From their Donatos® Pizza options, their selections of wraps and sandwiches, delectable entrees, and even their salads are all worth coming back to this place time and time again! “Yumm,” indeed!
But even if the food wasn’t enough to produce repeat customers, they truly do go above and beyond with their top-notch customer service. I have never once had a bad experience with any of their greeters, waiters, or bartenders. Even their managers regularly come by the table to make sure that everything is to our liking, even changing the TV channel to our favorite baseball team when they are playing! And as if being surrounded by friendly and professional staff members wasn’t enough, the Tchotchke and unique art all over the walls are a fun way to distract you for the very short amount of time that it will take to receive your order. When it’s time to decide again on what you want for lunch or dinner and you’re scrolling endlessly through Yelp or Google, I seriously suggest giving this place a chance, you won’t regret it!

I went here for my birthday and the food was amazing! The burgers and bottomless fries are so incredibly delicious! Their shakes are also a nice treat! I’d recommend this place for any occasion! The wait staff are super friendly and kind as well.
