I really hate leaving negative reviews! But the food was absolutely horrible! I ordered the pulled pork it was like dried mush! It was not fresh by any means! It was not only cold but extremely dry and over cooked! No flavor at all. My wife ordered a cheese burger with bacon It tasted funny! The bacon was definitely microwaved ! They charge extra for fries and you don’t get much !

I love the food but I just received such bad service I think I am done eating at red pig. I live in Raleigh my parents live in Abingdon va. When I visit I always drive to the red pig. I drove over to red pig today. The door was locked. A young man with several prison style tattoos came out side and very bluntly said we close at 4. I looked at my phone and it was 4:02. With this level of service I don’t expect this restaurant to stay open much longer.

I was bringing it as soon as I walked in I had a very welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend Red Pigs barbecue pizza! First time having it, the crust wasn’t too thick, perfect amount of sauce and loaded with pulled pork topped with mozzarella. I added banana peppers, onions, and bacon. Let me tell you the best barbecue pizza I have had. I had two slices of stuffed plenty of leftovers and I’ll be making sure to bring my family. My husband had the BLT on a croissant and he said it was delicious and recommends that also.

They have really good BBQ, but this time I wanted to try one of their deli sandwiches that I use to get at Poor Richards when they were open. I got the Ole Smokey. It brought back memories. It was delicious!

We went in for lunch, and the food was so good! The staff were so friendly and helpful as we were deciding what we wanted to eat, one of them even let us know that on mondays kids eat free for my baby—so that we could get a meal for her. The prices were good, nice staff, and delicious food! We will be back.

If you are used to Carolina bbq this is not for you or me. We’ve been by this place so many times we decided to give it a try. Mistake!
Not only was it the worst bbq I have eaten it was the worse food I have eaten. I normally don’t post or do reviews but I must.
We had the beef bbq , a slob of meat that didnt even resemble sliced beef. Guess they decided to give us chopped. A burning powder taste as though the powered bbq packets had been added, it was so dry, and the most undesired bbq I have ever tried to swallow. We only could eat about 25% of it before we had to get up and leave. Forgot to mention the fries was not even done. $ 30 down the drain. Also they forgot to give us our water and slaw. Yes I should have went and complained !
There was at least 3 other couples there at the same time questioning the amount $ on their ticket. We will never go back .

The best way to describe their food is Carnival food. My burger was a grey hockey puck with two strips of shoe leather bacon. The French fries were nothing more than grocery store crinkle fries with sandwich cheese slapped on. Both were tiny as well. Add a root beer soda and the bill was $17.77! My wife ordered the pulled pork and thought it was ok. Never going back here again. Worst meal in Johnson City so far.
