Me and my 3 friends came in to eat @ 9:50 (4 people) they let us know that they stop seating at 10:00 pm which is okay our server walked up and said “ I don’t really care about yall drinks right now , let’s go ahead and get the food in because kitchen close in 5 to 10 mins “ okay cool me and my 3 friends order + another person that walk in with us and she had someone with her(6 people), but everyone got they food except one of the people that I walked in with… they merged her food into another bag and had to remake! He brought the other persons food back but didn’t bring out my friend food when we all walked in at the same time … so at this point everyone is eating at the table except her now everyone done with their food and she still hasn’t received hers … we are the only people dining in no one else is inside but us and our server walks up saying “ they making one order at a time “ when it has already been 30 mins since he took the food back … so she tells him that she don’t want the food anymore ! Her drink was water which water is free so she didn’t really get served anything … so it was a total of 4 bags on they table and only 4 of us ate and they still added 18% gratuity on our ticket … I then addressed the manager because gratuity is only suppose to be added when 6 people have ate not when 6 people are sitting down … and she argued with me that it is gratuity because 6 people are sitting when that is not right !! They refused to take the order off until I said some as well as we paid gratuity when only 4 bags where on the table and only 4 of us ate !!! Not to mention my friend ordered small sauce on side of her Thursday when first ordered and never received and all he could say is they are still making it when I know the cooks where back there just trying to clean up instead of accommodating our food that was put in before it was time to stop cooking !!!

I lived my entire life along the Texas coast. I lived right ON the water for the last 12 years or so, before moving here about six months ago. The whole time living near Port Aransas/Corpus Christi (plus lots of trips to Louisiana), I never got seafood that I liked more than tonight’s dinner at Red Pier. I’m hard pressed to think of any that I liked as much.

We have also eaten at some famous seafood restaurants in Maine. Lobster and shrimp, steamed and spiced to perfection. The meal we just had Red Pier rivaled any of them. The shrimp wasn’t evercooked (happens too often), and the spice on everything including corn and potatoes was exceptional. Better than exceptional.

Our server was named Josh. I don’t often get service good enough that I would ask for a server by name, but I’ll request Josh when we go back.

We always enjoy going to the Red Pier in Horn Lake, Mississippi—it’s a five-star experience every time we visit. The crab legs and seafood are always seasoned just right, the shrimp is cooked perfectly, and everything tastes fresh. The prices are great, and the place is always clean.

On our most recent visit, I was a little disappointed that the half-pound of crab leg clusters only came with one small, skimpy cluster. That definitely wasn’t what I expected. But every other time we’ve been, the food and service have been consistently excellent. That one visit won’t stop us from coming back—it’s still one of our favorite spots for seafood.

We visited Memphis and asked around for the best seafood — everyone pointed us just across the border to Red Pier in Southaven, MS. Boy, they did NOT disappoint! From the moment we walked in from the heat, we were greeted by cool air, great music, and an all-around fun vibe that set the tone for the night.

KD was our waiter and he was fantastic — friendly, attentive, and really knew his stuff when it came to the menu. We ordered the crawfish étouffée, Cajun Alfredo, gumbo, a lobster tail, and the Friday/Saturday/Sunday Boil, and everything was absolutely delicious.

The étouffée was rich and hearty with tender crawfish and perfectly cooked rice soaking up all that savory gravy. The gumbo was packed with flavor, loaded with meat and veggies, and had just the right kick. The Alfredo was creamy and indulgent with juicy shrimp and chicken, paired with garlic bread that was toasted to perfection. The seafood boil was the star — overflowing with crab legs, shrimp, sausage, potatoes, corn, and even a boiled egg, all smothered in a bold, buttery Cajun seasoning that clung to every bite.

We even met the boss lady in charge who came by to greet us Coloradans, making us feel extra welcome. We left stuffed and happy. If you’re ever in Memphis or anywhere nearby, Red Pier is a must-visit. We can’t wait to come back!

The service here was really great. Our server Anthony was the best waiter I’ve had in a long time. He made sure we were satisfied and always came back to check on us. It really needs to be more waiter/ waitresses in every restaurant like him. Makes you feel good about wanting to dine out… kudos to red pier. Southaven for great service and great food!!!!!

I’m stunned, I called to confirm they were open before driving down from Memphis. I arrived at 7:50 and was told the wait list was cleared and even though they were still seating reservations until much later and had open tables, they would not seat me!!! I’m well dressed and well manored. They should honestly report closing time for walking but apparently it is variable, depending on??? I’m standing in parking lot watching while they continue to seat reservations.

Everything was on POINT! I wish we could bring you to Nashville TN. Like the Red Pier season/Mild was perfect for my boil. I got the Sunday special and it was worth it price wise! The chicken tenders and hush puppies were fresh! The environment was so nice, I’m sure when there is a DJ it’s lit. Bathrooms were clean too. Ray was our server and she was so sweet and attentive. Got everything right and made sure we were good the whole time.

Great food, terrible service.

Food was on par with other seafood boil places. I would even say the garlic mixture was better than some others.

Unfortunately, the service was severely lacking. My wife and I ordered waters but the waitress did not even stop by our table after our food was delivered to check on us. Consequently, we went the whole meal without drink refills.

On top of that, 18% auto-gratuity was added to the bill. I am a great tipper when the service is there, but we were insulted we were forced to pay a tip when we got no service the whole meal.

Waiting for over 15 minutes no one ever came to our table. Finally asked someone if we had a waitress. And explained to her no one has been by. she acted as though she didn’t know who our waitress was but quite positive it was her. Everyone around us had been waiting on but us. Even people who came in after us. I am not a racist person but this establishment seemed to be. It truly seemed they let us wait on purpose because we were white and didn’t want to serve us.

We had an Amazing time. The customer service was Awesome and Amazing. As a Travel Agent I love doing Market Research at different restaurants. I get the opportunity to experience them first so that I can refer my clients. Our server was AwwwwMazing he took great care of us. He kept our beverages fill and he checked on us frequently. We tried Alligator for the first time and it was Amazing. My husband tried the fried fish and fries and he said it was Amazing. My daughter and I tried the shrimp and friends and it was Amazing. My daughter had the dessert and and she enjoyed it. We will definitely be going back and taking more Travel Agents with us. I give this restaurant a 10 plus. It’s a must visit.
