My experience here was positive. The people that work here and run the place are super nice. What will make or break a buffet is how long the food sits out. While we was here they had brought out several items fresh. They were tasty. Plenty of seating and they checked on us regularly. I never ran out of drink or had used plates in my way.

This isn’t my first visit, but first in a long time. Came here around 5pm and paid a little over $14 for the buffet. None of the food was all that fresh, and most of what I had seemed to have sat there long enough to get crunchy. The lo mein was fantastic, though. Service was great as well.

So the buffet is very slim. Everything was room temperature. The shrimp were over cooked but cold possibly old, the chicken was crunchy crust, the Lo mien noodles were tasteless. The lady took my plate when I left to try other stuff but I was still going to eat my egg roll, and I left my fork in the plate she threw it away. Most importantly NO SUSHI, wtw? Honestly the worst Chinese Buffet I’ve ever been too. Try another place.

Got there at 745 on a Friday night only 2 wings out they were cold no coconut shrimp out. And I waited for 20 min while kitchen staff stood in the dinning area and not bringing any food I had to ask for wings they brought out 4 in total waitress brought bill never offered more water this was the worest I’ve ever seen it I don’t think we will be back

If you are looking for a good buffet place, I don’t know why you’d go anywhere else. Food was all hot, fresh, and seasoned well. Drink choices were excellent. I had hot tea, which was wonderful. They also have wine choices available. The appetizer bar had soup choices, egg rolls, and kebabs. There were two hot bars, with enough variety for me and my husband to both be perfectly happy. Clams steamed in the shell, Kung Pao chicken, general TSO, orange chicken, coconut shrimp and many more options were available. There was also a dessert and salad bar with lots of fresh produce. The staff was welcoming and the waitress made sure our plates never piled up. Prices were a great value. I’ll definitely be back on my next trip through Roanoke.

I love this restaurant for it’s great service, nice atmosphere and plentiful, flavorful food. Of course, all the dishes are “Americanized” and are delicious, with a wide variety at the buffet. The buffet features soups, fried type appetizers, a salad and fruit bar, entrees with various sauces available, a dessert bar and ice cream. They provide plastic gloves to use at the buffet to reduce contamination.

Another buffet lunch at Red Palace! Food was good but there was no fluffy egg foo young with that fantastic dark thick sauce which I love on everything! Fried potatoes were under cooked, but I still totally enjoyed the other dishes. Background music played a local oldie radio station, and I enjoyed Journey, Eagles and Adelle much more than the usual Asian influenced instrumental. Service was excellent, the buffet was refilled regularly, the restaurant was busy and staff easily handled their work.
