We like to try local restaurants and saw this place had good reviews. Glad we did. We came in early Monday, and our server was Susan. She was so friendly and attentive. Our food was delicious and we did not wait long. I also loved that the women’s restroom had post-its and a pen to leave uplifting messages to each other. 🙂 We’ll for sure be back!

The beef stew is just like my grandmother use to make it it fills you up not to much not to little, you don’t feel bloated it was great. Wish y’all had door dash I would have this delivered every night! It was a quiet place for lunch love that I can have conversations with my wife while we eat and not be drowned by noise

OMG!!! I went on a recommendation of a friend! I went during peak time on a Sunday. I was seated within 5 mins of arriving! Before my server made it to my table a lady (either the owner or manager) came over to my table to welcome me & give me my servers name. Before she could finish the introduction, he walked up! Dale was sooo warm & welcoming! His smile was infectious! He was super personable! Even though it was my 1st time there he made me feel like a regular! He helped me navigate the menu & I settled on Pecan pancakes & grits w/Jasmine tea! The pancakes were buttery, fluffy in the center with a tiny bit of crisp on the edges (just like I like )! There was the perfect amount of pecans and y’all…THEY WERE IN THE BATTER (not just on top) The grits were creamy & yummy!! The jasmine tea was perfe t & Dale brought local honey from a business by his house!! This place is 10/10 Also, pricing is reasonable!! Definitely will be back & I highly recommend that you go too!!

I always like to try local restaurants when I’m in a new area. The food and service here were amazing! Everything was cooked how I like and the strawberry butter was a perfect addition to my Belgian waffle! I will definitely visit again the next time I’m in the area.

1st time. Breakfast was amazing! Food was so well prepared and delicious! Biscuits with jalapeno gravy was the best I’ve ever had. Hash browns were made to perfection, not a bit greasy. Had a bite of the pancakes and they were fluffy, very flavorful and perfectly cooked. We got our order rather quickly. Service was top notch.

Went to the Red Oak Café on the N Bypass 35 in Alvin, TX for breakfast.

This is my second time here in a little over a year, and the experience was just as good as the first time.

From the outside, this place is unassuming. If you didn’t know if it was there, you might not know it was a Café just by the look of it. The building itself looks like it might be some sort of office building, but when you walk in, it’s a completely different story, and the atmosphere couldn’t be further from the look outside.

I didn’t have to wait to get seated, as it was probably only 1/4 full at the time I went. I was seated at a table in the middle of the café, perfect for people watching!

A server came over and took my drink order, which I received promptly. A water, and a “pecan” coffee. I had the coffee the last time I was here, and it’s got a lovely pecan flavor profile that’s not too overwhelming. I couldn’t pass it up.

When the waitress came over, I ordered the “Big Breakfast. ” Three eggs (scrambled), country sausage (two large patties), a freshly made biscuit (so good), grits, and two well sized pancakes.

The eggs were perfect and fluffy, not too soft and not too hard. The sausage wasn’t exactly what I hoped for (I thought it was going to be a link, my bad), but it was delicious, so no issues, there. The biscuit was REALLY good, and I ended up making an egg and sausage sandwich with it. There were still plenty of eggs left to have a full plate.

The grits were fresh and delicious, even after sitting on the side while I ate my eggs. They didn’t get hard on the top like a lot of grits bowls do. No, they were fresh and delicious.

After that, pancakes! These were two, fluffy, fairly large, tasty pancakes with the perfect consistency. After all the food I’d already consumed, however, I could only eat half the plate, but I took the other half to go. They’re going to be perfect when I’m hungry again and ready for a mid-afternoon snack! They checked up on my coffee refill several times. Awesome.

The service was great, the decór was modern and open, and the food really lived up to the hype. It was my second time there, and it won’t be my last. If I lived in this town, I’d be a regular, for sure.

I’m on a cross-country road trip, and the Red Oak Café is a perfect place to stop and rest while also enjoying a great meal if you’re near the Houston area.. I can’t see anyone being disappointed by the delicious food and the friendly wait staff. It’s a great, kind of hidden place on a major roadway filled with chain restaurants.

Red Oak Café is a friendly environment, great if you’re alone or with a family, with generous food portions. With tip, I paid less than $25 for my meal. Definitely affordable and worth the price. I will easily visit here again should I pass this way.

I’m generally a late eater, so… get here on the early side. They open at 7am and close at 3pm Daily Tues-Sunday. They are closed on Mondays.

10/10

I’ve been here twice. Once for lunch and once for breakfast. I was very disapppointed with breakfast. It was greasy and really needed to be seasoned better. I can’t remember what I had, that is how unimpressed I was. For lunch I had their chicken wrap. It was tasty but I felt it could have had a little more filling. I would have also preferred that French fries were an option. Their pecan coffee is top notch. The staff are very polite. Prices are pretty reasonable so not a bad place to eat, I just feel some improvements can be made with the food, at least what I’ve had.
