He took the time to thoroughly explain every dish we asked about, offered thoughtful recommendations, and genuinely engaged with us throughout the evening. He also built great rapport by asking if we were celebrating anything when we shared that we had just passed our boards (a huge milestone for us), he went above and beyond and treated us to their tres leches cake, which was absolutely delicious.
Food and drinks were outstanding. I highly recommend the trio enchiladas, the queso fundido, and the guacamole paired with the fresh flour tortillas or the banana chips, everything was so flavorful and well done. The cucumber margarita was incredibly refreshing and the perfect drink to round out the meal.
The level of service, attention, and warmth Isaiah provided elevated the entire experience. I cannot wait to come back and will absolutely be requesting him as our waiter again. Thank you, Isaiah, for making our night so special and memorable.
The atmosphere was fantastic, the staff were lovely, and Carlos in particular was very polite and friendly. The food was amazing, with big portions and prices that were very reasonable.
Can’t wait to come back next year when we visit the USA again — we’ll definitely return!
Also the entrance, Ladies Restroom, and overall restaurant was so nicely designed I had to take photos.
Once seated, service was prompt and our order was taken quickly. However, we were surprised by the significant price increase for the holiday. While we understand special occasion pricing, it felt excessive compared to the overall experience.
As a Hispanic couple, we were especially excited to try what was presented as a higher-end Mexican restaurant. Unfortunately, we were underwhelmed by the lack of flavor in several dishes. We expected more depth and authenticity, particularly at that price point.
On a positive note, the drinks were absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was beautiful — truly one of the highlights of the evening. With more attention to the quality and flavor of the food, this place has the potential to match its stunning ambiance.
Upon walking in we were not greeted immediately.
Instead a rude lady walked in front of my group of 10 asking for change. While the hostess didn’t acknowledge us at all until talking to her.
After that we were taken to our table.
Served water to half the people. And then missed 3 people.
We had to move our own water and pass it down the table. Not starting off as a great service.
Secondly one of the women in my group had a chipped wine glass cut her lip.
They said “the manager will be over soon to go over this with you”
The manager never came. Weren’t even comped on one drink at the end of it all either.
Oh and this was a bday celebration.
Not starting off so great.
Eventually we got to order our food.
Food took quite some time to come out.
Which I can appreciate for not being fresh.
However at a high end restaurant to the size of this.
Wait time was completely unacceptable. Especially with the staff size.
We ordered.
Filet mignon
Oysters
Chicken mole
Plantains
Chicken enchiladas
Ceviche
Steak & chicken fajitas
Rice & beans
Fries
Let’s start off with the filet mignon.
Cooked and seasoned perfectly.
Chicken mole.
Tender juicy chicken. Seasons well in a fresh tasting tortilla.
Oysters.
Small. Basic. Nothing spectacular.
Was served with lime not lemon.
YES that makes a big difference with shellfish/seafood.
Not to mention it was lime wedges and not half lime/lemon with, lemon nets/wraps.
Chicken mole.
Served on a bed of beans and mole.
Very strange display and serving.
Beans should be on the side.
Mole should be over the top.
Not on a bed of beans with mole on the outside and bottom of the beans. Let the customer decide how they want to mix their own food. Don’t do it for them.
Was the chicken cooked well? YES perfectly. Were the beans and mole good? YES.
So I suppose you can start to see a trend.
Some things fall short while others exceed expectations.
Meanwhile we had needed water refills ( NEVER got them ) our server checked on us only to ask if we wanted more drinks. Not to see how we were doing or how the food was, nothing. Just upselling constantly ( extremely unprofessional )
At this point I don’t want to get into the rest of the food.
I’ll finish it off with this.
The interior is beautiful.
The food is good.
But the service is something that really REALLY needs to be addressed.
Chefs. You did well. Good was consistent and good.
Front of the house? I could go on about how much more went wrong. But why…. Let’s just leave it at that.
Would I recommend this place?
Sure, maybe you’ll have a different experience.
And for your sake I truly hope you do.
