Me and my husband order sushi $18 per order
I order shrimp tempura roll which it no shrimp inside at all only crispy flour to trick u. U can see just crispy shrimp out at the end but inside there is no shrimp. Rice very thick and sticky kind of wet. My husband ordered other kind of roll but same thick rice so we both barely eat rice because it taste weird so it’s not worst $18 per order will definitely not go back and wait for forever for food when no customers at all. Very slow service .

First time trying Red Moon. We sat at the bar and ordered the Love Boat for two. Our chef was self taught (learned by YouTube). Her rice was formed well and it was tight. The fish was tasty.
The owner came and checked on us several times.
Nice restaurant.

Nice Atmosphere with Very Good Food!
The lady that seated us, (I assume owner or part of the family) is a hoot to talk to. Really nice lady that obviously enjoys what she is doing. And that friendly take care of the customer attitude was also reflected in the wait staff. Our server (according to the receipt was Canida.) A very nice young lady that did a great job! The décor of the restaurant is new clean and modern and atmosphere in the restaurant spacious and relaxing.
We had the General Tso’s and the Kung Pao Beef. Both were ordered medium spicy. I like it hot, so I could have went a little spicier on the General Tso’s. I did ask for some Sriracha to kick it up a little.
The Generals Tso’s was pretty average; lightly batter chunks of chicken thigh meat, in a sweet spicy sauce. It was mixed with a few chunks of red and green bell peppers, onions, and carrots, with a side of fried rice. It was good and a good portion, but the sauce was a little sweet and thick for my preference. But, again it was good!
The Kung Pao Beef was good likewise. Lots of vegetables! What really stood out was the beef in this dish. Not typical! It looked like steak that that had been seared and then sliced thin and added to the meal. It was tender and delicious.
They have a full bar and a sushi bar.
A great place to eat in Tahlequah!

I have eaten here for years and years more at August Moon before it. Food used to be second to none and affordable. Tonight was as bad as the last several times I ate there. Crab rangoons were burnt and barely had any filling. Dumplings were overcooked and lacked flavor. The chicken fried rice was good, but not worth the price. Due to the price increases I have eaten here less and less. Each time it seems to be a little worse. At one point, my family would get food from them once or more per week. Now, it is an afterthought. When I compare it to places like Shogun in Tulsa which costs us about the same now, but we all enjoy more, it comes up wanting. Every few months I will be nostalgic and want to order from there remembering the times I enjoyed it. Afterwards, I remember why I hadn’t been back in a while. Today may have been my last such mistake.

The waitress only brought one order when we ordered two. She said well that’s why I brought you a plate first because I thought you were sharing a platter. It’s as if she was trying to blame me. I didn’t know why she was bringing out our plate ahead of time. Anyway she wasn’t very apologetic and afterwards she didn’t discount anything after having to wait until another dinner was cooked while I went hungry. I shortened her tip because if the service isn’t good, someone is going to pay for it and it isn’t me. I won’t be back. Food and atmosphere was okay. Nothing to brag about.

Serving sizes have become less but still holding higher prices. The sushi chef has changed as well and not as good as it once was. My sushi was warm and covered in sauce. Paying for a meal for 4 people at $140 without leftovers made for a very forgettable birthday meal.

Disappointed, were finally gonna try it tonight. I’m celiac so I prefer sitting at the bar to watch my sushi made. We drove over from stilwell. They’d booked a large party in the area and would not sit anyone at the sushi bar. Odd for date night to book it that way. Who knows when we will attempt again.

Can I give more stars? This place has awesome food, I love the flavors. Had the ahi tower some sashimi tuna which tasted amazing, how do they get fresh tasting tuna out here? The owner Jenny greets everyone personally and is completely invested in making your visit as best as can be. One of the nicest people you will ever meet.

5/8/25 I ordered the Ahi Tower, Flaming Flamingo, Chef Special with a Rainbow roll & sashimi & Fuji Apple Saki. The Ahi Tower was amazing. It’s made with crab & shrimp salad on top of rice with diced raw Ahi tuna on top with masago. The Flaming Flamingo came out wrapped in foil & then set on fire for a grilled taste. The Fuji Apple Saki is smooth & light.

Great staff and great food! I’m so happy there is finally a place in Tahlequah to get really good Chinese and Japanese cuisine. Though maybe a bit on the expensive side, the taste and quality of the food more than makes up for it. We got sushi and I can honestly say that I haven’t found another place that gives this many options for sushi AND have this much quality. I will say that from now on we will only be ordering water to drink- $3.87 for a Dr. Pepper seems a little much. But other than that it was fantastic. Also the staff was not entirely sure what everything on the menu was, but I’m hopeful that they will learn quickly. They have only been open a week or two. We will definitely be dining here again.
