A classic NJ diner with modern decor. We were seated immediately as there was no wait however the place got crowded closer to 6 pm onwards. Lots of parking space. The service was quick and attentive. Even after customizing our order everything was made to perfection. We had gyro chicken wrap , 2 eggs with whole wheat toast and a single pancake which was to my surprise big. The black and white milkshake was also delicious.

I want to start out by thanking Bill for taking my order at 8:45 PM on Monday evening (Labor Day) although the restaurant was already closed and the staff was leaving to go home. It’s very rare nowadays that you still find such levels of hospitality and accommodation anywhere.

Had an amazing time while I was here. I had stopped in while I was out running errands. Family friendly service and an somewhat upbeat atmosphere. My server Ava was very knowledgeable and a hard worker. Coming from as a Chef, I would definitely hire her at my restaurant. She recommended the tuna melt to me and even though I don’t look like I love tuna, I do. I must say, the Chef definitely know what they are doing in the kitchen. The tuna was melted perfectly and the bread was not hard or soggy, just right. Keep up the amazing work and definitely would recommend you going here.

My wife and I were in Dover, NJ and then heading back home to Glen Rock and spontaneously stopped at the Red Hut Diner for lunch. I know it’s a good place to stop, if my wife doesn’t yell, “NOPE!” first. She didn’t. We were greeted by a friendly lady as soon as we walked in and we were seated in a booth by a window. Very clean restaurant and a nice atmosphere. We had great service and some delicious comfort food. I had a Texas Burger (without the BBQ sauce) and my wife had some type of omelette. We also had coffee. Overall, great experience and we are glad we stopped!

The classic basic dinner with modern decor. The food is on the normal side so don’t go in thinking you’re getting the best pancakes of your life, It’s more of a quick bite place. It’s a diner so there’s plenty of options to choose from. The service is ok, it seems like they can use more youthful staff members. Fries are good!!!

Walking in the place looks clean and inviting. My husband ordered the bananas foster waffles which were yummy! I had the 3 egg omlette with sausage, onions and cheese. It was loaded and tasted great! Homefries and toast came with that. The coffee was good! Our server was nice and got our order in quick-food came out fast and hot. I will be back when in Rockaway again!

I ordered three platters of steak and eggs and managed to finish it only because I was starving. My son couldn’t finish it and my daughter took one bite and tossed it out. The burnt part of the steak was bitter while the medium part was tasteless. $67. down the drain (actually $75. total after tip).

The Red Hut Diner never disappoints! The food is good, the staff is friendly, and it’s an overall positive environment. And I know Marina (the owner) personally and she’s one of the loveliest people ever. I just love her. 10/10 recommend. 🙂
