As the commercials used to say “Where’s the beef?” Look in the picture you see if you can see the meat in this so called chili. It’s is sad to see it being served and worse is people think it is right.

A colleague told me about this gem. The food was fantastic. Definitely a great atmosphere. The service was amazing. I didn’t realize that it’s a cash only business and I thought I didn’t have any cash on me. The owner told me to just pay him next time!!! I was stunned and grateful. Fortunately I did have a couple dollars to pay for my order but the selfless act really made my day and restored my faith in the good people of the world. Thank you again for your kindness. I look forward to trying the burgers on my next visit. The chili cheese dogs were delicious!

I just had to share my incredible experience at Red Hot Restaurant! From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for something special.
Let me tell you about those hot dogs – they were hands down the **best I’ve ever had**. The quality was outstanding, and you can tell they put real care into every detail. But what really took it to the next level was their chili sauce. WOW! It had the perfect balance of heat and flavor that complemented the dogs perfectly without overwhelming them. I’m still thinking about that sauce!
What made the experience even better was the staff. The service was absolutely excellent – attentive, friendly, and you could tell they genuinely cared about making sure every customer had a great time. In a world where good service can be hard to find, Red Hot Restaurant really stands out.
Everything from the food quality to the atmosphere to the staff made this a memorable meal. I’ll definitely be back, and I’m already recommending it to friends and family. Best hot dog place around. I grew up around Ellwood and Red Hot has been a staple food group. You get the normal burgers, dogs, and fries – BUT the winner is the chili topping! This stuff is like liquid gold. Each batch is slightly different, so sometimes the surprise is how HOT it is (And that is a good thing). Now I live in Indy, but Red Hot is ALWAYS my first stop in town!!
