WELCOME TO RED HOOK, THE BEST SEAFOOD BOIL We would like to thank you for dining with Red hook. We hope you enjoy our delicious food and comfortable atmosphere, Red Hook offers a diverse range of juicy seafood, including shrimp, oysters, blue crab, snow crab, crawfish, clams, mussels, Dungeness crab, and lobster. Snow crabs, Lobster, Shrimp and other seafood will be mixed with the restaurant’s famous Cajun Buttery sauce and served in steam bags. Instead of the traditional methods of using a knife and fork, hands are applied directly. The restaurant will provide gloves, bibs, and other “tools” upon request. The finger-licking goodness of Red hook seafood will leave a lingering flavorful taste in your mouth!

My son ordered food from here, and we purchased two chicken tender baskets. One of them was perfectly fine, but the other was extremely disappointing. The tenders were very small — nothing like the normal size you would expect — and the portion did not match the price at all. We picked up the order around 10:30, right before closing, and when I reached out about the issue, the restaurant refused to offer a refund or any kind of resolution.
They told me I had to “bring the food back,” even though the meal was for my daughter, and she was, of course, going to eat it. I had photo proof and a timestamp, but the staff still wouldn’t help. For the cost, the quality and customer service were both unacceptable. I won’t be ordering from here again unless management improves how they handle situations like this.

Really enjoyed the food and the overall atmosphere here. We ordered a seafood boil along with some fried shrimp and everything tasted great. The Cajun sauce had a lot of flavor and the shrimp were cooked just right. I also tried one of their cocktails and it paired really well with the food. It’s a nice place to relax, enjoy some seafood, and have a couple drinks.

I came here mainly to try their Cajun seafood boil and it was honestly really good. The seasoning had a strong Cajun flavor but wasn’t overly salty, and the seafood tasted very fresh. The portion size was generous and perfect for sharing with friends. The sauce soaked into everything and made the whole meal very flavorful. If you like seafood boils, this place is definitely worth checking out.

I enjoy shrimp, but I wanted to mention that my experience in the restrooms was uncomfortable. There were several younger individuals lingering in the bathroom and watching me when I entered, which did not make me feel at ease. Additionally, the restroom had an unpleasant odor, similar to fish and eggs.
On a positive note, the front staff were very friendly, and our server—whose name I unfortunately can’t remember—was also kind and attentive. Overall, the establishment was lovely aside from the restroom conditions and a gentleman speaking the Chinese language very loudly nearby.

This was our first visit and it was a good visit. We will visit again if we are ever in the area. Our waitress Kaee was amazing. Everything she suggested was delicious. She was very nice. My mom ordered the wings (there is an up charge for all flats, but not unusual as most restaurants do the same) and I ordered the catfish with shrimp and grits. Amazing. I couldn’t even eat all of my food. The sweet tea was good too and so were the cajun boiled eggs. I only have one complaint. As I was waiting for my to go boxes, I saw a few of the female staff members twerking. Not judging, but it’s just my personal issue with the dance. Other than that, the restaurant was great.

The fried food here is seriously underrated. I ordered fried fish and wings and both were cooked perfectly. The fish was crispy on the outside and tender inside, and the wings were hot, juicy, and full of flavor. Everything came out fresh from the kitchen. It’s a great spot if you’re craving some good fried seafood or wings with friends.

We had the 1lb snow crab boil bag. Received 2 tiny clusters of crab that was no where near 1lb I’m sure. Food tasted like it had been cooked yesterday and literally reheated upon order. The sausage was mushy and tasted cheap like a hot dog. We also ordered the chargrilled oysters, they were pretty good but had bread crumbs and parmesan cheese on them which we were not expecting. The drink was literally a large glass of juice.
The service was below the mark. Waitress went MIA after the food was brought out. And the booth seat was busted up on one side…. my date had to sit beside me instead of across from me. Will not go back there.

I recently visited Red Hook and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. I was seated promptly by the host, but after sitting at my table for about 15 minutes, no server ever approached me. During that time, I noticed several guests who arrived after me being greeted, receiving drinks, and even being served food.
I went back to the front desk to let them know I had been waiting for quite a while. I was told a server would be assigned to me, but even after another 5 minutes, no one ever came to my table. At that point, I decided to leave.
I ended up going to The Juicy Crab down the street and received much better service immediately. I was really looking forward to trying Red Hook, but the lack of attention and basic customer service was disappointing. I hope management addresses this so future guests don’t have the same experience.

Service is always terrible. Only person that was professional was the owner(CHINESE LADY). It was date night for me and the wife. So we’re gonna try them again after the last time we sat for 36 minutes waiting for our drinks after sitting for 23 minutes waiting for our server to ask what we wanted to drink. So I just paid for the drinks and left the restaurant that time. This time I tried to have more patience and OMG!! We’re seated within reasonable time, our orders taken and now we wait. Not too crowded shouldn’t be too bad. My drink arrived but they ran out of Hennessy so baby had to wait on her drink. Waitress brings baby’s plate but not mine. I get my food 20 minutes afterwards. Her drink made it to the table after I was done with my food. So I give the the benefit of the doubt and order one more jack and coke. 30 minutes passed and I just asked for the bill. Then the server got mad at me bc their service SUCKS!
