One of my favorite Jamaican spots! The food is always fresh and consistently delicious. The jerk chicken is perfectly grilled and packed with flavor every time. It’s a bit pricey for a single plate, but the portions are generous, so you definitely get your money’s worth. Highly recommend!

I’m writing a review because the clerk that cashed me out for my order was so rude unnecessarily. My family and I have been patroning this business for years and WILL NOT BE BACK after this simple petty interaction. We ordered over $60 worth of food and had a separate transaction for a spice bun that had a minimum transaction fee of maybe $1 and some change added to it. After she showed me the pasta I realized the chicken didn’t include jerk sauce and asked her for 2 jerk sauces. She let me know they cost .65 cents. I told her sure no problem and asked if it could come out of the transaction surcharge for the spice bun. She told me no because it’s a separate transaction. So I said, okay fine and gave her a $50 bill to which she responded she has no change for. Her demeanor was rude and respectful and she was fine with me saying I’ll be writing a bad review about, so leaving this here as I said I would. Customer service is the hallmark of a good business and determines whether or not that business will thrive, survive or fail. I wish this business the best, Irie mon cafe would NEVER.

Just tried the jerk chicken at Red Hills and it was
The jerk chicken sauce was PERFECT — not too thick, nice and thin, spicy, and full of flavor. The chicken itself was very tender and seasoned all the way through. I got it with rice & peas and cabbage and everything was on point. The portions were large too — definitely worth it!
Definitely coming back!

I should have listened to the reviews. Instead go across the street to Yard Vibes. I will take a chance there before I even consider this place. Jerk chicken and rice supposedly with gravy and jerk sauce and it is still dry as a bone. They want to charge extra for sauce just to make it edible. Just look at this ish. Dryer than saltine crackers. Have e to go somewhere else to get sauces and gravy to make it edible. Cabbage is raw. If I wanted hot bland coleslaw I would have just a bag salw mix without the dressing or any seasoning. The salad did not have half the ingredients they said it would and give you one tiny dressing chicken soup was good and a bit spicy. Maybe I can pour it over this dry mess of a plate. I hate Mango didn’t work out on this side of town.

So first thing first who this big back plate for cus I thought I asked for a small plate but I couldn’t finish it but next thing the cabbage is absolute trash why would you put corn, green beans and peas in cabbage that’s exactly what it taste like with no seasoning at all and the chicken was hitting a little dry even with the sauce, the rice and peas tasted like it was overcooked and the plantains were just ok. All in all I could’ve saved my $20 and got something else

No issues with staff, wait time, or food. It’s just that my Goat Roti was really spicy. My Oxtails w/ peas & rice was good (much less spicy). If you’re into spicy food, I’d say give them a try.

My food was seasoned good but the sauce was liquidity and the noodles were overcooked. I got the combo jerk pasta with chicken and shrimp. There were like 5 shrimp and an overwhelming amount of chicken. Not very happy. I will try again to see if it improves. Plate was $25

I ordered the large jerk chicken. It was by far delicious and was alot of food in the plate. Plantains were good and the oxtail gravy on the white rice was good. Spicy but good food.
Only reason not 5 stars in the front register attendant attitude was as if we just woke her up out her sleep to come to work today. But it’s cool and food was

This place is close to our home. We went because one night the smoke house smelt so good. However, it’s a no for us! Both white and dark me was drier than the Sahara dessert. The Mac and cheese was what got them the few stars given.

Everytime my brother visits from out of state he goes Red Hills for the jerk chicken. He asked if I wasn’t any thing so we called in on order for his jerk chicken and a Vegetable Pasta. So why he sent me a picture of the pasta with chicken and pasta. And the server had the nerve to say this is their vegetable pasta. So we asked about Rasta Pasta and yep this the same thing. Non meat and chicken eaters beware. I don’t know how Vegetable Pasta comes with chicken.
