We don’t know what the food tasted like. We left after >20 minutes of service inattentiveness.
Atmosphere: In spite of it being a well-advertised Valentine’s Day dinner, a clueless DJ played an endless set of heartbreak and bitter relationship songs at a volume that prevented conversation. Music only ceased when Bingo winners were called to receive their prizes. Meanwhile, the casino sounded random bells and sirens to attract players into the nook near our table. Multiple TVs also played different games to round out a raucous frat-house environment.
Service: Although we had reservations, we waited quite a while before an employee noticed us. She promised to be right back with menus and table service as she pointed to a newly cleared table. She DID drop off menus. Water and utensils never arrived. As she whisked by, she would say, “I’ll be with you in a moment…” but, that moment never arrived.
In this business’ case, I blame management for promoting an event but not scheduling staff to care for the customers attracted by the promotion. Management should not have advertised a romantic dinner event without regard to the general atmosphere of their business.
When our food arrived, the four people that ordered the flat iron steak, that was about the size of the palm of a woman’s hand, was cold (not even warm) and severely overcooked. The garlic bread was nothing special. They didn’t have the loaded baked potato that was suppose to go with the steak and offered fries. Ugh…..I do admit the fries were pretty tasty but a hot baked potato with the cold steak would have made a nice addition. The whiskey chicken pasta was delicious. Sandwiches were mediocre.
Our server came back one time, never asked how the food was. It took at least 20 minutes to get our tab.
The food was definitely not worth the price paid.
I would understand if they were super busy but there were several open tables on a Friday night.
I always like to leave a good review and may have to give them a second chance. Hopefully my next visit will be better.
