The food was not as good as I remembered it. The mashed potatoes were cold and under seasoned.
I came here with my kids to celebrate my birthday and am not sure I will return.

This place is very popular and it must be for the atmosphere because the food is very average.
When we arrived, we didn’t realize they prefer reservations. It wasn’t real busy, but the lady said she would seat us if we promised to leave in 2 hours.
Ordered the half chicken and a plate of chicken enchiladas. Flavor of the enchiladas and rice was good, but they were pretty small and dry.
The dark meat on the half chicken was decent, but the breast was like rubber and way overcooked. I couldn’t eat it. The street corn was pretty tasty though.
I don’t feel the need to go back, but maybe it’s a better bar than restaurant, and the atmosphere is pretty good. Parking sucked when it wasn’t real busy, so I imagine it might be sparse when they are.

We stopped in here for our oldest son’s birthday. He had the Mexican meatloaf, I had the chorizo pasta and chicken tenders and my wife had the chicken fried chicken. We also had the beignets for an appetizer. Everything tasted amazing, was hot and fresh.

Writing this just for one thing: THE WINGS! I would come back here just that – woodfired, tender and great flavor! With ranch, of course. I had a blackberry cocktail that was also very tasty. Service was friendly. Back patio is very enjoyable!

Great spot! I had the chorizo mac & tenders—excellent—and my partner’s sirloin was cooked perfectly. Friends loved the chicken tenders w/ sweet potato fries and the classic burger. Pretzel bites were a tasty starter. Red Door Ale & an old fashioned hit the spot. Service was friendly, even near closing.

I can’t get enough of this place. I just recently discovered the ancho glazed half chicken and am upset at myself for not trying it sooner. Just the right spice to it and the chicken is so tender. I subbed the sides for slaw and mashed potatoes which were pretty dang good as well. The patio has lots of space, fans blowing, TV’s on, and a pond with a fountain right outside. I’ll be back soon!

A Friday evening and Red Door was very busy. Our server was prompt, polite and attentive. The ice tea was delicious fresh brewed great flavor. The salad was delicious, the dressing was amazing and the salmon was soft, tender and very warm when it arrived.

Came out to Red Door for lunch and got the spicy blue burger, it was great. Not too big and not too small with a good blue cheese flavor and a bit of spice. I got the house salad for my side, and in my opinion, they have the best house salad in KC. Pro tip, add pepitas to take it to the next level. Great service and a nice patio made this a great Friday lunch.
