Red Dog B&B is one of our favorite restaurants! My husband and I come here at least once a month and often celebrate special occasions here. Consistently superb food, drinks, and service. Everyone is so warm and friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. We usually hang out at the bar with Nick and Kelly. Both bartenders are fun and make some of the best drinks! We also enjoy talking with the chef. She takes a lot of pride in her food and kitchen, as she should. The food is always prepared and presented with the finest touch. The menu has recently changed, and although we were happy with the previous menu, the new one is a nice upgrade! Everything has always been nothing shy of excellence. See you all soon!

Amazing food and atmosphere!! She crab soup was to die for. Fresh cut fries, burgers come from locally sourced meat. Pretzels with cheese dip was great. Can’t go wrong here.

This was our first time eating dinner here. We was not disappointed. I had a very good Cubana sandwich with fries .Everything is freshly made on the spot. The service was excellent. We hope to be back soon.

What a gem, neat little restaurant in the middle of NOWHERE.. the bar tender made exceptional cocktails (haveto try the chocolate old fashion, it works) … waitress was so polite and friendly and the food was fantastic. The ribeye with blackened seasoning was delicious.
I score a 5 for all of that but, I really wish the steak was thicker and a few more items in the menu would be nice. But all around fantastic.
I almost forgot, the cheesecake and chocolate cake were very nice… I take that back, I SHOULD HAVE ORDERED THE CHEESECAKE AND CHOCOLATE CAKE FIRST!

Mountains Are Best
Fine lunch, second time too. Perfectly prepared and served. Sirloin, mushrooms, salmon, broccolini, wonderful mashed potatoes. Shrimp and grits, house salad, black and blue burger and fries all wonderful. Raspberry cheesecake topper. Server was very professional. Pricey but worth it. Great restaurant.

A pleasant surprise! Casual but with a nice menu, well prepared foods, and excellent service. I tried the pork sandwich and my partner had a hamburger. Both were very tasty and cooked to perfection. Our server was very prompt and checked on us as appropriate. We arrived around 2:00 p.m. on a Saturday and had no problem being seated. But by 3:00 p.m. the room was full.

Red dog is my place when I’m at part time home in the mountains. I want thank Martha, Hannah, Kelly and my new friend Nick. You guys are great and always treat us like we are at home. Small place with good food and friendly faces. Most everybody was chatting with other customers in the restaurant. Very comfortable. A small bar and outside tables offer options for seating. Nice decor with great photos and artwork. Food was really delicious. Not McDonald’s pricing or speed. Staff was very friendly, helpful and attentive.

What a fabulous lunch we had. Gourmet dining at a roadside “wide-spot-in-the-road” we really had a delightful experience. The server was very personable, and was cheerful in attending to our table, along with the coming and goings of numerous other guests. She had good recommendations on specials, and was attentive to the unique dietary requests among our party. Her bf is in the local auto derby circuit, and she is his biggest fan, even if she can’t quite stand to watch him in the races she attends.
The atmosphere of the place is charming and rustic. The couple of cute decor items on the walls and shelves brighten up the place with their unique logo featured.
I had the gourmet goat sausage hotdog and a few fries. An ample portion, warmed bun and sufficiently hot cooked dog with fixings was delicious. Another member of our party of 4 had a fish dish with a pureéd pea reduction that was delicious, besides being very different than any other fish dish we’ve ever had. I had a local beer, and enjoyed it very much. When next in the area, I would definitely plan on another visit, for another fine meal.

Where to start? Should have known when the logo for a dog is a cat, but alas here we are. 35 min wait turned into nearly an hour and a half but we finally got seated. After we were seated waitress took our order, 30 mins after they come to the table and tell us that they only had one serving left of what our table ordered two of. How did they not know this 30 minutes before? I selected the “filet” as a replacement for the beef cheeks, and wanted some of the Mac, they apparently ran it of the Mac 5 mins prior. This was 730, not like it was closing time. Absolutely zero chance the “filet” was actually a filet. It was very likely a top sirloin at best. It was tough and very bland tasting , I took half home to my dog. After all of that we assumed we’d get my meal comped based on how everything went, nope. They had an opportunity to make it right and they didn’t . Very disappointed and will never go back.
