We ate at Chiba Japanese Restaurant in Rockingham for the first time and it was absolutely amazing. The prices are very reasonable, and the food was excellent. I ordered the teriyaki chicken plate, and it’s honestly the best teriyaki chicken I can remember eating. My husband agreed and said it’s one of the best he’s ever had. The portion sizes are just right too, not overly large like some places, but still a good, satisfying plate. We’ll definitely be coming back.

My first experience here was wonderful the lady that took my order was willing to explain the difference in what I thought they had versus what they had. I wanted noodles which they call soma probably misspelled w teriyaki chicken no veggies as my son is very picky but he really liked their food, the portion & price was very good. You can’t go to a fast food place & get much for like $9 or $10. My son made 2 meals out of it but most would make one meal out of it. Also my son usually doesn’t like the way take out food takes heated up but he was satisfied & asked if we could get some again. The place was clean. The older gentleman well he seemed focused & determined to keep business moving, but my understanding is the Japanese are very focused not very social able but he was working so you can understand he is running a business not a social event. I believe if I wanted rice also that may have been a side thing to order for an extra charge. I was happy . Thank you

I have NEVER got my food so FAST in my life! I bought the chiba special, side of mushrooms, and extra shrimp sauce all in around 5 minutes FLAT! It was amazing and enough for me to make 2 meals from. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This place has gone severely downhill over the years. I used to enjoy eating here but the past 3 times move eaten here I’ve gotten an upset stomach. Their chicken has an awful, almost rancid taste and the steak is tough and flavorless. Wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.

Food tastes good. The atmosphere is okay. The service is exceptional, hands down! They will do anything to accommodate you. Everyone is extra friendly and pleasant. I was speaking Japanese to them, along with English. I would go back here if in the area again.

The drive thru line was really long, but it was worth the wait.
The steak in our steak and shrimp combos was nice and tender and the sauce they give you is really good.

Not only was the place not very welcoming but the older man that was supposed to be taking orders was extremely rude to me so I walked out. I had wanted to order the teriyaki chicken chick with rice and noodles. As in for myself I wanted the teriyaki chicken with rice and for my child I wanted just noodles but I didn’t have the chance to explain because the old man very rudely told me I could only get rice or noodles. Not both. He had a disgusting attitude and was loud moving his hands around. When I tried to explain he interrupted me and told me loudly again I couldn’t do that. He started emphasizing on the “or”. Do not go here unless you like being treated like you’re stupid and yelled at. Highly disappointing.
