A couple days ago, I decided to stop by Red Bowl for some sushi. I wasn’t sure what exactly I wanted so I went in and asked for the menu. Their menus were old and had all the prices crossed off because they were not updated, but I didn’t think much of it since I understand not wanting to be wasteful.
I decided to order the chirashi bowl that was supposed to come with 14 pcs of fish. The total came out to $27 and some change. I thought the price was a bit high given that I could’ve ordered Kusshi’s chirashi for about the same price, but for 14 pcs of fish, who was I to complain.
I picked up my order and went home to eat. I noticed that the bag felt fairly light, but sushi isn’t exactly dense. When I got home, the first thing I noticed was that there were only 10 pieces of actual raw fish. They also threw in a single imitation crab stick cut in half and some radish which do not count as raw fish. I was baffled that they would only give me that small of a portion after paying $27. The rice is a separate issue. It was completely unseasoned. Chirashi comes with sushi rice that has salt, sugar, and vinegar. Instead, they tossed a few sesame seeds and called it a day. It was extremely disappointing and I’d even go as far as saying this is a scam.
I do not recommend this place to anyone if they are looking for even mediocre to low quality sushi. It is not worth it whatsoever and I will be filing a chargeback for this scam of a meal.

Me and my boyfriend went here for a date recently and the food was AMAZING. We ordered 2 specialty rolls and I don’t think I’ve tasted sushi that fresh and delicious before. However, I do understand why people are leaving lower reviews for service and gratuity. Our server was very sweet and polite but we weren’t provided a menu until we had been sitting for almost 10 minutes. Also, our 2 rolls only came to $30 but we were charged $40. They automatically charge gratuity to your bill which is fine but it was around 33% which is very high (twice the recommended amount), we were already planning to leave a decent tip. Lastly, we noticed that there were multiple posters on the wall offering discounts for leaving a 5 star review. This may violate certain policies and is distasteful to some customers so that threw us off a little. I’d definitely be willing to come back again or maybe order for takeout but consider some of those reviews before you decide.

The sweet potatoe with cream cheese roll is awesome! Wish it was a bit more crispy but still very good. The chicken roll was a 10/10 crispy, juicy and simply delicious.
The orange chicken was flavorful, tender and crispy! The fried rice was also well seasoned and your typical fried rice, very good.

I have been here 20 times and food is usually good BUT today I ordered mango and sticky rice, my favorite dessert. They gave me regular white rice (no sticky rice) mangoes and crushed peanuts. Not only is that totally wrong, but when I asked for a refund they said they have done it this way for 10 years. Said I have to drive it to them and they might give me a refund. Really poor business practice and they lost a 5 year loyal customer

Tonight we had the Egg Rolls, Shanghai Mini Pork Buns (my favorite), Slice Beef Noodle Soup Szechuan Style and Hunan Chicken. All very tasty and delicious.

Took the family out for Asian and sushi. I ordered the sushi and sashimi deluxe meal with an amazing presentation sitting on a bed of rice noodles on top of ice with a blue lighted ornament in the ice. The other dishes that the family ordered were nice sized portions which resulted in leftovers for lunch the next day. Most of the food was delicious. I ordered a tuna roll that was different from what I’m used to as it seemed to be ground up tuna with sesame seeds inside. I enjoyed it. But my daughter was not a fan. Overall a good experience.

The lady up front that takes the orders ignored and denied me of my refund after I waited 30 minutes for food that was never prepared until I asked for my refund … Idk if she’s the owner or her husband but they are rude DONT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE ! & lying about having the order prepared when it surely wasn’t as a response will not make your reviews any better. Good food, average service, dishonest people. We ordered three things (sushi, lo mein and drunken noodles). When we got the bill everything was charged more, a lot more than what was on the menu. When I asked them about it they said that is what’s in computer and menus aren’t updated. Now, I don’t think the prices (the ones they charged us) were exorbitant considering the inflation these days but fact that their response was so casual and unapologetic it ruined our experience. Even though I liked the food, will never go back again. Be careful about what they charge you. (Looks like they have been deceiving people with this for a while now, see the review by another customer below with same experience three weeks ago).
Update after almost three years – they continue to be dishonest. Went inside just to see the menu and they still have scratched prices on the menu like they had three years ago. Never went there in last three years, will not go again in future either.
