Red Beard Café has a unique western-modern aesthetic that feels both stylish and welcoming. The décor is playful and creative—there’s even a bike hanging on the wall with its wheels cleverly doubling as the “oo” in Good Coffee and Bagels. The space offers a mix of seating: a long wooden table with faux cowhide chairs, a cozy leather armchair, a sofa, and smaller round tables perfect for groups.

The café is clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed, with touches of greenery that make it feel fresh. In addition to coffee, they offer muffins, cakes, and packaged snacks like chips, pretzels, and branded tumblers. It’s a great spot to settle in, whether you’re meeting friends or getting some work done.

If you’re anywhere near Pueblo and love good coffee, Red Beard Coffee Shop is a must. The moment you walk in, the smell of fresh coffee hits you and you know you’re in the right place. The drinks are incredible, rich, smooth, and easily some of the best coffee you’ll find in southern Colorado. The staff are genuinely friendly and make you feel welcome right away, and the whole place has that perfect laid back vibe that makes you want to stay longer than you planned.

It’s the kind of spot that once you try it, you’ll keep coming back. Pueblo is lucky to have a place like this. If you haven’t stopped by Red Beard yet, you’re seriously missing out. ☕

Food is alright, coffee is alright, but neither are anything to shake a stick at. People are alright too. But my biggest issues are the prices and the branding.

“Red Beard?” Cool. But then you go inside and there is no follow-up on the theme. Even the merch has a nice design to it, but the interior is standard coffee shop with no beard. Beardless coffee shop.

Not only this, but the prices are just ridiculous. I can go anywhere else and pay less for better product. Someone mentioned paying LA prices, but I think it’s EU prices because they act like the US dollar isn’t enough. Again, coffee is nothing special. Service is good too, but oh well. If only good service was all that mattered in this world, right? It’s not. I won’t ever be coming back here. I love local businesses and I well understand the struggles they have, but sadly I can’t have any attachment to this place.

Perfectly-roasted SPECIALTY coffee… which is an industry term, not an empty phrase!

Take it from a coffee industry professional… this place is legit.

Well-steamed milk, friendly staff, creative drinks… Pueblo West has something special here!

Consider the legitimacy of some of these recent low-rating reviews… same phrasing, name dropping competitors, etc. — that’s a red flag in the review space.

As a current coffee industry professional, I’ll also add this: if someone is hand-making milk alternatives, they should be charging more. There’s labor and quality behind that necessary up-charge… and it’s normal in the coffee industry. Why? Because even the low-quality alternatives COST MORE. It’s math, not personal. You never see the gluten free crowd making a fuss… they’re just happy to have considerations and accommodations.

Give Red Beard an honest chance and you’ll be more than happy you did! Let’s do away with fake reviews!

I got a LOTT to say about this place, and it isn’t ALL bad. I will say, the girls who work here are extremely sweet. Not the best at conversation, but nice, that’s all that matters. The seasonal drinks are fun too, maybe don’t taste the best but I like the creativity. Another thing is they do always steam their milks properly (you can taste that) which shows good training from management! But honestly, that’s not gonna save me from coming back to this place.

It is INSANELY expensive. I keep seeing other reviews about the prices, yeah, that’s so true. Specifically the one about LA prices in Pueblo Colorado. The smallest size they got of a flavored latte with oat milk comes out to 9$. For a SMALL. To compare with other coffee shops in the area, I get that for about 5$, with extremely friendly personable service and undoubtedly better tasting coffee. Before I get a response that they make their own alternative milks, so does Three Birds Coffee Co. And they charge about 6$ for the same size. I noticed someone else mentioned a milk allergy, and that’s my case too. Can’t have milk, and so I am ok spending extra. But not THAT much extra. (I’m not kidding, it’s insane and their points system is laughable ‍ )

The espresso is watered down, genuinely can’t taste it. I’ve tried 4 different lattes here (that’s how badly I wanted to like this place ) including plain, and you can’t taste it. I think they need to change to a finer grind or a darker roast, because whatever they’re doing isn’t working. At least they’re consistent in the no flavor I guess

I don’t want to be too mean, because im happy Pueblo west has a LOCAL coffee shop. And im going to sound terrible for comparing, but I would definitely say driving to The Love Mug or The Sacred Bean is a better option, if you’re picky about coffee, prices, and services.

If I hear anything about prices going down and quality going up I’ll be back in, but until then… I personally prefer my expensive coffee to TASTE expensive. I’ll be going elsewhere. Best wishes to the owners and staff, I think this place has a great start, and it is important to note, they are NEW, employees are being trained still.

So happy to have this cute cafe in Pueblo West. Stopped in today and had a coffee and pastry. They are one of the few smaller shops that offers decaf! YAY! They also have a nice selection of teas and speciality seasonal beverages. The pastry cabinet was filled with fresh and delicous treats. Many bagels to chose from. Visited on a Monday and the seats were filled with happy customers enjoying their morning. Small couch and table for larger groups. They were busy and had a line at the drive-through. Servers were friendly and took the time to make recommendations. I had the Peeps special and it was excellent. The coffee crumb cake and lemon cake were fresh and yummy. Definitely worth your time to stop in and visit this new hot spot.

5 Stars for Red Beard Coffee in Pueblo West, CO!
Listen up, coffee comrades, because I’ve just stumbled upon the caffeinated holy grail at Red Beard Coffee, and I’m here to sing its praises louder than a barista calling out “Grande latte for Karen!” This place is a Pueblo West gem that serves up coffee so good, it could wake a hibernating bear and make it do the cha-cha.
First off, the coffee. Oh, sweet nectar of the morning gods! I ordered their Carmel Latte, expecting a standard jolt, but what I got was a flavor explosion that had my taste buds throwing a full-on fiesta. It’s bold, it’s smooth, it’s like a warm hug from a rugged, red-bearded lumberjack who smells faintly of espresso. I swear, one sip and I was ready to write poetry or at least a strongly worded email with flair. They roast their beans with some kind of wizardry, because this is no average joe—it’s Joe DiMaggio in a cup.
Now, let’s talk bagels. These aren’t just bagels; they’re doughy circles of pure joy. I got the everything bagel, toasted to perfection, and slathered with cream cheese so creamy it could star in a rom-com. One bite, and I was convinced Red Beard’s bagels could solve world peace or at least convince my boss I deserve a raise. They’re chewy, they’re flavorful, and they’re so good I almost proposed to my breakfast. Almost.
The vibe? Cozy as your grandma’s living room but with better Wi-Fi and no hard candies in sight. The staff were so friendly, I half-expected them to adopt me into the Red Beard family. They hustled with smiles, making my order faster than I could say “caffeine, please!”
In short, Red Beard Coffee is where dreams meet reality, and that reality comes with a side of bagel bliss. If you’re in Pueblo West and you don’t stop here, you’re basically choosing sadness over happiness. Do yourself a favor: grab a coffee, snag a bagel, and thank me later when you’re grinning like a kid who just found the prize in the cereal box.

Their bagels are sooooo so good! I recommend the jalapeño bagel! They make sure to PACK the bagels w/ cream cheese too!

Every SINGLE drink I’ve tried here has been so good! Probably the best coffee I’ve had in a while!

And their employees are always so nice and don’t make you feel rushed when ordering and are always happy to answer any questions.

I have been here 3 times now and the ladies here are just not friendly. It’s usually a blonde woman and a brunette when I go (apologies, I do not know names) and there is no greeting, no smiles and absolutely no sense of friendliness or kindness when I ask questions about the menu. At first I thought they were just having a bad day, but all three times their demeanor appeared to be just.. not very customer service friendly compared to almost any other coffee shop I frequent. They can just work on smiling, being helpful and not coming off so annoyed. This is the feeling I get every time I come here and ask any questions or for recommendations with the menu. I asked the blonde girl for some assistance with recommendations and flavors since I was getting a drink for someone and she acted annoyed and then just stopped talking and it made me very uncomfortable. They should work on hiring people that are more comfortable speaking to customers and who are more welcoming in general. I will say I love the amount of flavors they have, and I LOVE their bagels and breakfast sandwich options, this is the reason I will continue to come here.

Authentic Reviews
To some, this review is probably considered ridiculous, however one of the items on the menu is misleading. The three cheese panini shows three halves of a sandwich, but when I asked about the menu picture of the sandwich I was told that it only comes with two halves. I know it is something minor, but enough to be worth a critique. Also, pricing is a little much for such simple food. Went out with the family, so to not be rude I participated, but just disappointing to see LA prices in Pueblo Colorado of all places. Wasn’t my choice to come here, because I eat a lot, and as a body builder I would prefer better portions for the price. But not everybody takes food to heart like I do.
