First time to red apple diner with my husband. Service excellent! Waitress was very nice and friendly. I ordered Romanian Steak and eggs, asked for Medium rare but was given well done, ask the waitress for a change and they change it and gave me a full meal with medium rare steak. The chef even came out to apologize, service excellent! Food came out Hot and tasty!

The old Lynbrook Diner that closed down some years ago and sat untouched had reopened, renovsted and I am happy to report, its quite good. I have fond memories of taking my son to the old Lynbrook Diner when he was younger and sitting at the counter for a weekend breakfast together. Sure the seats were shackey, there were water stains in the ceiling, but the service and food were very good. It was our place to bond.
Fast forward some years and the place is fully renovated as the Big Apple Diner under new ownership. A visit to the area on a business trip had me sitting back at the old counter but now on more solid new swivel chairs, with bright lights and clean, yet retro feel of a classic diner.. The prices are higher, as to be expected, but the food I had was very good. My go to is over easy eggs with the thick variety breakfast sausage and potatoes. The eggs were cooked fine, maybe a little lighter than medium, but good enough. The sausage was the star. Thick and juicy with a nice snap to the skin. This is not your typical overcooked, reheated dry sausage. This was perfection. In fact I enjoyed it so much, I came back a few days later for another try and it was just as good. The home fries were fine as were the fries I tried on the 2nd visit. Coffee is just typical diner average but refills were served frequently so your cup was always hot.
Service was friendly and everyone on staff I spoke with was pleasant and concerned for your well being. I know the next time I am in town, I will be back again. Glad to see this location with an ample free parking lot, back in action, serving Lynbrook again.

This was an ok diner experience. The service was slow but the waitress was very nice. The food was good but other members in my party weren’t as fond of their meals. The diner was reopened not long ago and is much improved from what it was.

Had a great meal at the Red Apple Diner! We ordered the Vegetarian Crepes and Philly Cheesesteak and were so excited to eat it that we forgot to take a photo! Food was great! Service was quick and Luis, our waiter, was awesome and super friendly! Can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful experience! Went for my birthday in September and got pancakes and turkey bacon and both were delicious. Classic diner atmosphere, looks so nice in there and it was the perfect birthday breakfast. Pancakes were pretty big too, I was so excited when they came out. Hostess was SO nice!! Marianna contributed a lot to the great experience we had!! Waiter was also great and helpful and everything was a smooth and happy experience. Went back today and the service was excellent again. 10/10 diner

IDK…it was my first visit to this beautifully designed restaurant. The service was good, great staff. However, it was the menu for me. The menu is very basic…. for example, if you are ordering a burger, it doesn’t tell you what meat type, how much meat, or if the burger comes with fries or not. Additionally, it appears that everything is priced the same…$19. Which in this case, some items- in my opinion were overpriced. Honestly, I was turned off by the menu alone and not because of the selection, it was because of the pricing for me.

This is our 5 or 6 visit. On the 1st we were greeted by Brandon who was most professional and pleasant. He stopped by the table to check on our visit. We were so happy and enjoyed his manner we decided to put this spot on the top of our list. The food was fresh and well-prepared. Bringing my friend for a birthday meal next week.

I remember the old Lynbrook Diner, which was great. I recall it shut down sometime before COVID, which made us very sad. The new diner, under new management, I assume, has excellent food and service. The waiters/servers are extremely polite and attentive – couldn’t ask for better. The hours are still a bit limited, compared to other diners, but it is still a great choice for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Keep up the good work!
