I had the pleasure of enjoying this little gem with a dear friend of mine this past week.
As old friends do with busy schedules, we like to find ourselves a comfortable atmosphere where we can easily catch up on what we’ve missed over the past few weeks in each other’s lives, and preferably over some delicious food accompanied by a few adult beverages. This time we decided that WINE was the way to go.
Along with an incredible selection and service from our new favorite person, Emily, my friend and I enjoyed the low-key, cozy, warm atmosphere, and some tasty treats smuggled in from the neighboring food spots.
Rebel Rebel is just lovely.
Enjoy conversation, great service, and delicious wines. Also, maybe some snacks from the neighboring restaurants..they are rather accommodating.
Emily, again, we can’t thank you enough for your warm hospitality and extensive knowledge of the cultivated vine.

my wine was served in the same plastic cup i sampled it in. cute place but was very confused. 2 stars because i did get to stroll throughout somerville with a cup of wine, but in that case i would’ve just gotten it from the store.

Great wine list, seasonal plates that are creative without being fussy (the gem salad and spicy chicken sandwich are addictive), and a staff that makes everyone feel like a regular. Perfect low-key date spot or catch-up-with-friends energy. Somerville neighborhood spot and destination wine bar all in one.

Fantastic menu of unique wines (many, if not all, are natural wines). Staff are really lovely and helped me and my husband select wines that we enjoyed very much. The space is intimate and has a great vibe. If I lived nearby, I’d be a regular for sure.

There’s something about Rebel Rebel – when you walk in it’s like you’re on a different plane. The world falls away and you’re just meant to sit and enjoy some incredible wine in an incredible atmosphere. The staff are knowledgeable and ready to help you select the best option for your visit before you have to go back out in the real world ether. I always deeply enjoy my time and my beverages at Rebel Rebel. and I always snap a new photo of a decor I hadn’t noticed before.

This wine bar is tiny and beautiful. I’ve been here twice or more. The wine selections are always interesting and varied. It’s a nice place to try new wines. The bar tenders are always super friendly, casual, cool, attentive. I recommend it.

I was after some American wines by a glass but there wasn’t much choice, only 2 types and the rose/ red that I had was nothing to write home about. Very cute little courtyard though, enjoyed catching some sun.
