Went here for lunch and was amazed by everything! We ordered the seared tuna, funks grove burger, the western wagon burger, sweet potato fries, and the goat cheese ball salad. Could not stop raving about how good the food was while I was eating it and I honestly think those were the best sweet potato fries I’ve ever had. I would 100% recommend the goat cheese ball salad. Our waitress was also really funny and super nice.

My boyfriend and I decided to try some place new for dinner and landed on Reality Bites. The owner greeted us right away. They were busy, so we sat at the bar while we waited for a table. It was worth the wait for sure! We ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp and bacon wrapped dates for appetizers. I’m still thinking about how good both of those were. My boyfriend ordered the New York Strip and I ordered “the Funks Grove Burger”. I can’t say enough good things about the food and environment there. We were raving to our family and friends about it!

I ordered the Mac and cheese egg rolls and they were cold in the middle. When I explained that they were cold the waitress took it back and it was apparently microwaved because it was no longer crispy and it was super hot. I took a bite and there really wasn’t much flavor. I was pretty disappointed seeing as this place came recommended. I did order a jicama salad with the egg rolls and the salad was actually really tasty.

When a $12 burger becomes $18 because you add the basics of lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese and bacon – basically a bacon cheeseburger – I feel taken advantage of. The waitress didn’t know if the chips, fries or sweet potato fries were gluten free, so I was charged another$2 to sub a side salad. If you have to eat gluten free and you don’t want to pay $20 for a burger (no bun), you probably need to choose from the “rabbit food” section of the menu here.

The staff and service were great. The Mac and Cheese egg rolls were good, but the chicken sandwich and Impossible burger were underseasoned and bland, despite the toppings. It’s a really cute place, but the food was underwhelming.

Could’ve stopped with the incredible appetizers, Korean ribs and spring rolls but also had the grouper and it was just as good. Finished with delicious dessert. Tuxedo bomb is enough for two but also had blueberry cheesecake. Our new favorite place in Bloomington. Service was top notch as well. Absolutely no complaints about Reality Bites
