Stopped in looking for some food on our way through town. As we pulled up, we noticed there was a ton of cars parked all around the building in a free for all style of park wherever you want scenario. We thought they were going to be very busy and that it was going to take a long time to get our food. The building itself is pretty small. Some seating inside but most of it is outside. We sat at the bar and watched the Boise State football game as we ate. The food came out to us pretty fast, about 10 minutes from when we ordered. I over heard the staff saying they were super busy but I thought they were handling it very well. You can tell they are important to the community. They knew everyone there and everyone knew them. We were obviously the outsiders because we were the only ones that they didnt know our names. I got the loaded baked potato with brisket. Super good.

Best smoked meat I’ve ever had! I had the amazing tri-tip, my husband loved the brisket, and both our kids devoured the ribs. The cole-slaw and baked beans were exceptional and even the bread roll was delicious. These guys have it down! The waitstaff was super welcoming and friendly and the atmosphere was lively and fun. Clearly a place the locals like to eat at, and for good reason. Don’t miss this place if you’re passing through.

Best barbecue we’ve had in weeks. We stopped in on a long road trip. Service was super friendly and fast. Tri tip was amazing. Also loved the coleslaw so fresh and tasty. Will definitely go back

The atmosphere was the way it should be in a small town. Everyone was really friendly and welcoming. The beer was cold. It was good after a long drive. I had the special- prime rib which had all the flavor a person could ask for but the cut itself was way to fatty. Half of the cut was lost to fat and gristle. I’d still eat there again if I was ever back in this area.

We decided to go to the Real Deal Smokehouse because of all the recommendations and online reviews. It was ok. Looks better than it tastes. I can’t explain it. The prime rib in this part of the US is cooked differently than where I’m from. I personally like it better in NC. Not a bad meal, just not my favorite.

Not much for choices in the way of restaurants in this town but boy we picked the right one! Very busy place which was a good sign. Great home smoked barbecue meats. $4 drafts……are you kidding me in this day and age? Good portions, good value. Our waitress was the owner which say a lot. Highly recommend.
