This is a mostly outdoors establishment, so the service schedule depends a lot on the weather, but typically open Thursday evenings for dinner carry out. Sometimes Wednesdays or Fridays instead. May not be for BBQ purists- but Bob’s meats are always excellent- well smoked and flavorful. The highlight is his willingness to experiment with different dishes- many of which you will not find in a traditional smokehouse (ethnic flavors!) . Kudos to him, and to his loyal customers, for trying new things. – Note: only takeout, and only once a week.

Go see BBQ Bob and order everything that you can stuff in your face. Their Q is to notch and their specials are awesome. This is a quintessential local business. Sorry them generously. Oh, you can BYOB and eat there on the picnic tables. We always bring a growler of Dark Side beer.

1 star for good smelling food. Negative 4 stars for dry, flavorless beef. So dry, I was mad I only had two cups of BBQ sauce. Beans were just as dry? The Chocolate Peach Cobbler was tasty……….. Maybe it was a bad day?

Unfortunately, first impressions matter, and my wife and I will not be back.

Note to Owner: The Brisket was abnormally dry, could be a food storage issue. And this portion size? For $9 I would have expected a little more.

Stood in line while the owner talked about the most pointless of things for 10 minutes before he moved onto the next customer. The food smelled good, but after waiting for almost 20 minutes and only moving 2 feet to be told that he is out of food was insanely disappointing.

Magnificent ‘Q. Top tier brisket. I recommend everything except the sausage chips, they are dry. Whole smoked links would be an improvement. BBQ Bob is beloved!

It is not comparable to anything I had when in Kansas City or North Carolina last year, because I believe it to be a different style of grilling than those places. However, I will say it was neither good nor bad, just average with nothing standing out for me and no, I will vote with my wallet and not be returning.
