This review is long overdue as my fiancée and I eat here at least 3 times a month lol.

R+D delivers an exceptional experience every single visit. The service is consistently great whether you’re at the bar or in the dining room, and the attention to detail really stands out (they’ll swap your martini glass with a chilled glass before it even gets warm).

The food never misses. Our go-tos are the rainbow roll, pressed sushi, deviled eggs, and the chicken sandwich. The dishes are always well-executed and insanely delicious.

Huge shoutout to Andrew behind the bar for going above and beyond. He introduced my fiancée to the Mexican martini, and she’s been obsessed ever since. And Trish is just as great! Very personable, warm, and welcoming. (Honestly the entire staff is incredible trust me).

We always come as a party of 2 and usually walk in, either sitting at the bar or waiting about 30 minutes, never longer. Still, reservations are a good idea because it’s a popular spot and worth the planning.

This is our neighborhood staple for the long haul. Grateful for the team, the drinks, and the consistently great meals.

R+D Kitchen in Dallas is my favorite restaurant! My family and I go here every Sunday together, and we practically know everyone who works here. They usually have a table saved for us, and we have the menu memorized, so we don’t even bother looking at it. Everything we’ve tried is amazing–the tuna sandwich, Ding’s crispy chicken sandwich, tuna sashimi, rainbow roll, California roll, spicy tuna roll, avocado roll, dip duo, and meatballs. The restaurant is always clean, and the desserts, especially the chocolate brownie sundae, are fantastic. The decor is really nice, especially for a new American restaurant, and the lighting adds to the overall experience. The music also enhances the atmosphere, but what everyone loves most about this restaurant is the koi pond outside. It really makes it iconic and is its signature feature. I’ve never had a bad experience here, and I guarantee you won’t either. Five stars!

This was my first time here and I can say they were very welcoming soon as we walked through the door. My forever plus one and I were seated immediately then given waters right off back from Lyric. We ordered Ding Chicken Sandwich & The Cheeseburger. I can’t tell you enough how great the service was from Trinton “Trint” Williams! He made sure we were taken care of with ease and extraordinary grace. If you’re out in this area and need world class service. Other restaurants need to take notes when fine dining presents itself. Food amazing, drinks are great, and the vibes are *chefs kiss* one of a kind. Make sure you’re seated in Trinton Williams section. You will get the best service!

We tried this place recently for lunch as it was recommended by several people at work. Make sure to give yourself 10-15 min to circle the parking lot and find a spot and walk to the restaurant. Parking is extremely limited. We had a reservation at 12:15. We checked in at 12:12 and didn’t get seated until 12:32. Not a great start, but the food was pretty good. We started with the deviled eggs and rainbow roll. Both had great flavor. My wife tried the tuna salad sandwich and I ordered the Little Mo. Both were tasty and a good portion size. We tried a side of the shrimp and grits as well, which were good. Overall, it was good, but with the parking and the wait, we don’t need to hurry back.

It is one of our favorite places to go to celebrate our birthdays. We love to start with the dip duo. I always get the Asian chicken noodle salad. The special today was the sole. Everything was so good!!

Consistent outpost of Scottsdale based Hillstone. For an American bistro focused fare their sushi is equal to some of the best sushi restaurants around.

Service is probably a point or two down from their sister restaurants in Scottsdale and Newport Beach. I’ve noticed over the years the efficiency and friendliness of the staff at this location has gone down.

Absolutely fantastic meal – Nothing on the menu really stood out to me at first, we ordered a mix for the table and everything came out flawlessly. The sushi was perfection, Tuna Salad Sando was surprisingly the best Tuna Sando I have ever had.

Only nit picky thing – Don’t seat couples coming for a meal in the bar when the restaurant is wide open. Had the young finance bros in the bar this evening, needing to make sure everyone could hear everything they were saying like it was the gospel.

Great meal – staff was attentive and professional. No nose rings or purple hair.

Just a solid time.

A Highland Park staple that services consistency. The food is always delicious as expected. The service is why I return. However the chicken sandwich is not as tasty as i remembered but it will not deter me from returning. I recommend all sushi dishes and burger.

One of my favorite spots in Dallas hands down. You truly can’t go wrong with their menu, but my husband loves the chicken sandwich and I always get my own sushi (a nigiri plate and their Osaka pressed sushi). Hot fudge sundae for dessert is a must!

This is an intimate restaurant great for dates, so they don’t typically seat large parties which keeps the vibes for date night perfect.

I’m glad I didn’t review this place after my first visit many years ago because although there was absolutely nothing wrong with my first visit, there was nothing impressionable either – it just seemed a popular place.

Fast forward many years and I have definitely become a fan over the last 18 months. I’ve now had a chance to try various menu items and have been in contact with more of the staff. I’ve taken plenty of friends there and all of the reviews from them are the same as well – this is a lovely place with pleasant people and flavorful food. It can help to have a reservation because it can get busy.
