We waited for a long time before anybody even acknowledged us being there. Service was OK once we got waited on. We had to sit inside and the atmosphere was decent but outside seemed better with nice lighting and live music.

There’s a distinct difference between casual and unprofessional. Our server seemed rushed (forgot my drink and the table next to us also had issues with getting their food) and then at the end of the meal, we only had a big bill – she asked us twice if we wanted change – only to bring back more big bills that could not be split easily. That felt extremely awkward. She proceeded to stand over us and talk about the previous night she had an incident where a group of folks got up and left without paying. It was like she was looking for a hand out. Very uncomfortable. I had the grouper which was decent, nothing outstanding to write home about. The citrus vinaigrette from the shrimp salad WAS really good though! The music and atmosphere was casual and island like. Loved that. Will likely choose a different place in the future though due to service. I was disappointed seeing the great reviews on a Facebook community page.

Stopped in for lunch today before heading off the island. We tried the fried calamari, blackened tuna salad, fish sandwich, famous black beans and rice, as well as the fried shrimp basket. Everything was delicious and tasty. The service was great and the live music added to the island ambience. I will definitely come back when I’m back on the island in the future.

Read reviews before coming here which were dismal but I enjoyed this place. Had the local garden salad, beans and rice and peel and eat shrimp. The calamari was delicious as well. Friend ordered the grouper sandwich and it did not disappoint. Go basic. All were delicious. The bar only has beer and wine based drinks. Nice outdoor atmosphere and live music. Great place to stop and people watch while exploring the island.

The food was pretty good. I had the Crab Cake Platter with Tropical Coleslaw and Fries. It comes with a Tropical Mango dipping sauce which I thought was excellent. My wife had the Chicken Tender Platter. They do give you a lot of chicken. The fries were ok. The service was ok. The waitress did refresh our drinks without having to wait. They had live music playing outside, but we sat in the A/C. So the atmosphere was ok.

Our waiter was very nice and for the most part, the service was good. However, the food and drinks were underwhelming. My salad had way too much salad dressing, and I am usually pretty liberal with my dressing. Overall, the salad was not great. The chips they serve with salsa were very stale and that was upsetting. Cute concept for a restaurant, but poor execution.

If you need to eat, it is more than edible. But if you are looking for good food, skip. Waitress seemed to be doing us a favor in answering the most basic question – what kind of fish does this come with? “White” – Yes, but what kind? “If I knew, I would tell you. It is white.” Mine came with 2 sides but they charged me $5 for one of the sides and I just wanted to leave so did not even question it. The waitress stood and watched as i swiped and chose the tip amount. I hope as the rebuild continues Captiva restaurants will step up and give customers their money’s worth. I loved being here but the food became a bad joke.

Geo was playing amazing on the guitar and everything else was not good. The shrimp Fajita came with no rice & beans. The food was salty and greasy. It took us too long to pay and leave since the waitress disappeared on us. It felt like a tourist trap without too many food options on the island.

Food is phenomenal! Calamari crispy with delicious marinara for dipping. I had the Cuban sandwich is the best I’ve ever had. My wife had the crab cakes with mango sauce crazy delicious! I would highly recommend you eat here when you’re on Captiva Island! Flights of local beers also great!
