Best falafel sandwich I’ve had in a long time! Fried it fresh to order and topped with fresh veggies and tahini! They do a half sandwich and soup combo that was perfect for a chilly day. The split pea was so yummy and nourishing

This place is all about the food. The pea soup had layers of flavor. The falafel is GREEN because it was packed full of herbs and spices, and the texture was amazing — soft and moist on the inside, crispy on the outside. Possibly the best falafel I’ve ever had in my life? It does take quite a bit of time for the order to come out, maybe because it’s all fresh. Everything on the Mediterranean plate was DELICIOUS.

Good place to check out for those who like Mediterranean food. Razan’s Organic Kitchen offers decent food with plenty of organic options, making it a solid choice for a fresh and healthy meal. The service was personal—we were helped by just one person, but he was very friendly and welcoming. The upstairs seating area is a cute and cozy spot, adding to the charm of the place. It’s tucked away from the busier parts of Shattuck, giving it a more relaxed feel while still being conveniently located. A great spot if you’re looking for organic eats in a quieter setting!

The owner is so kind and genuine. He really likes what he does and it reflects on his attitude. I ordered the Egyptian falafel wrap just the way the owner likes it, and it was the freshest tasting wrap I’ve had in Berkeley. It wasn’t overly salted or spiced, so I could taste all the veggie flavors. It really felt like eating good, honest food. His daily-made hummus is terrific and tasted even better the next day.

Amazing wraps! We got the steak beef burrito and chicken shawarma. Both were juicy, meat was well seasoned and FRESH. Highly recommend.

Some of the best falafel I’ve had in the bay. Green, herby, and moist on the inside. Outside is crunchy and well fried. Egyptian wrap was full of the falafel, crisp veggies, and rich tahini. It was served with a really delicious and thick green hot sauce.
Split pea soup was also delicious: hot and comforting and covered in fresh parsley and sumac.

We were walking down Shattuck Ave in Berkeley and we were so hungry, but nothing was appeasing all 5 of us, until we saw a man walking down the street with this fantastic looking wrap. He pointed us to Razan’s Organic Kitchen on Kittredge St. There were so many options, we could watch them make all of our food right in front of us, with the freshest of ingredients. The portions were enormous! I felt bad giving back my plate that was still half full. I would have eaten it all, if my stomach were bigger!!! I literally felt like I was walking into a mediterranean kitchen, being welcomed by my family, that always tries to feed me too much! Amazing, I HIGHLY recommend.

Love this place so much. The portions are massive, so I usually get two meals out of it. The falafel plate is my favorite – it’s hard to find falafel that doesn’t taste like it came out of a box mix. Super friendly service too. It’s a small cafe, just a couple of seats, so I typically get it to-go. Still added 5 starts for that because who can afford big rent in the Bay??
