I usually love rays. Food is always bomb but I ordered off Uber eats and Chile idk what happen. The rib tips were great but the baked beans tasted so burned I couldn’t even continue. The potato salad looked like it’s been sitting for too long and then they forgot the sauce on the side and white bread.
I know delivery / pick up can be a headache but it would be appreciated if the same customer service goes into the pickup order as well. How yal forget my white bread!?

I can’t speak to the service or atmosphere. I ordered my New Years Day good luck meal via Uber Eats. Ray’s did NOT disappoint! Almost as good as mama’s (couldn’t make it to her house this year). The black eyed peas had a very slight sweetness that made them delicious and the collards were spot on. Cornbread had crispy edges and teensy bit of sweetness. Mac n Cheese and fried okra completed the meal with what may have been the stars of the show. Ya’ll! Don’t hesitate to order from here. Kisses to the chef. Thanks for helping me bring in the New Year with my southern traditions!

I have had Rays quite a few times and always loved it and raved about how good the food is but I went in on yesterday 9/25/25 at 4:43pm. I got home and started to eat and the vegetables were horrible. Everything tasted burnt or old. I ordered a 2 meat combo with rib tips and chicken tenders with 7 cheese mac n cheese and baked beans. I also ordered a three veggie plate with fried cabbage, fried corn, and yams. I also ordered the vanilla pound cake. The entire order cost me $39.27 and I wish I could dispute the charge because it was truly a waste of my money. At least I was able to eat my meat because it was the only part of the meal that was worth it. At this point I don’t know if I will go back. I don’t know what or who changed in there but I don’t like wasting my money and I was very unhappy with my meal.

My husband and I visited Ray’s Southern Food for the first time, and they absolutely hit the mark in every area—customer service, cleanliness, and taste. The owner was very personable, and the staff was attentive and thorough. They were knowledgeable about the menu and carefully reviewed our order with us to ensure it was 100% accurate. They explained this is their standard practice so any issues can be resolved before guests leave—because we all know how frustrating it is to get home and realize your order is wrong.
The staff wore gloves, hair nets, and beard nets, which we really appreciated. Most importantly, the food was delicious—well cooked and seasoned to perfection. We will definitely be back.

Yesterday was our first time coming here. It was nice and clean on the inside. We were greeted by the counter person and she took our order. We ordered the rib tips plate, Fried pork chop plate and the wing plate with baked beans, collard greens, macaroni and cheese, candied yams, and cornbread. We ordered the sweet potato pie, the mini crunch top pound cake and the chocolate chip pecan toffee cookies. Everything was cooked to perfection and served nice and hot. When, we come back in town, we will try some of the other items on the menu.

O… M… GEEEE!!! WHERE has this hidden gem been!?! I was in search for some BBQ. When I found this place online, it had excellent reviews about the macaroni and cheese, the black eyed peas and other vegetables. I also was in search for some veggies. I next checked to see what type health score rating they had, and it was an A, so I was convinced to give it a try. I called to see what meats were available, and right away the gentlemen sent me a link to check for myself. Quite impressive I must say that process was! The staff appeared to be very friendly. The young lady who took my order, NyNy was AWESOME. Watching how she dealt with other patrons, if she was in a private dining restaurant, I am certain she would be earning a lot of tips. I must honestly say I am very picky about my macaroni and cheese, and they get a pass. I like my noodles more al dente, but I enjoyed it. The collard greens and black eyed peas were great. Especially those black eyed peas. I also ordered a 2 bones rib sandwich. The ribs were good. I tried the mild sauce. Next time I will try the jerk sauce if BBQ jerk. I gave for stars on the service because I wished my vegetables portion was more. Maybe had I eaten in it would have been. But everything was very tasty. I would encourage you to come if you like the items listed on the menu. I will definitely return. THANKS Ray’s Southern Food! And THANKS to Dennis!
