A great place for breakfast. I travel a lot for work and I’m always looking for good restaurants to dine in. Ray’s was a great choice. The Biscuit and Gravy was over the top. The biscuit are big, handmade, a crispy outside, and slight chewiness inside. Topped with a jalapeño sausage gravy that brings a mild heat. I’ll definitely dine here again on my next road trip.

The reviews did not even come close to our experience. Super disappointing for such a highly rated and recommended place. Before getting to the bad of our visit I must say the atmosphere is PHENOMENAL. What a cool little cafe environment where it seems like everyone knows everyone. It was all bad from the moment we were seated. The 5 people behind us in the line actually received their meals before our orders were even taken. While waiting for our food we noticed stuck on food debris inside my wife’s water cup which dislodged into the water of course. We did not get offered any refills until the very end and we were there at the end of the rush. Our waitress was more interested in hanging out at the bar and talking to employees / regulars than serving us. The food came and we were finally ready to see what all the reviews rave about. What we got was cold (not room temp even) fries and mushy undercooked French toast. As we were eating we noticed the dust falling from the fake plant right next to our food and the dead fly that was stuck in the dust. To top our visit off, we waited probably 10-15 minutes for the check after finishing eating, even after making eye contact with our waitress multiple times. Finally we get the check, wallet out ready to pay…. She leaves the check and “runs away” to go chill at the bar with her coworkers again…. Another 5-10ish minutes goes by and another waitress notices us and finally cashes us out. I want to end this review on a high note that maybe it was an off day for our waitress and the cook, everyone was SO NICE that I almost didn’t leave this review, but after spending $40 on breakfast for two I figured I had to say something.

We got the burger, the chicken sandwich and French toast. The meat in the burger was super fresh. But the real star was the French toast. The sausage and country potatoes were top notch and the French toast was delicious.

What a great restaurant! This was our first time to the establishment and we were served promptly. We went at approximately 10am on a Tuesday, which wasn’t too busy. The atmosphere was so warm, industrial, and rustic. I had the Chicken and Waffles, and it was excellent! This is my favorite meal out to eat, so I had high expectations. Which the chef nailed. Waffles were extra crispy and the chicken was a skinless thigh breaded and fried. Portions were perfect. Not too big, not too small. It came with country potatoes, and fruit. The blueberries were large, and the fruit was fresh. My children were pleased with their breakfast as well, sharing ample praise out loud. The bathrooms were tidy as well. Staff was friendly and attentive. I will return to dine again.

The Juevos Rancheros was incredible, perfectly balanced and fresh. Peanut butter pie is to die for! No 5 stars because it took Emily 30 minutes to get me a menu and water after being seated. The food came out so fast after ordering I can’t be mad though. The owner is super personable!!

Met a colleague here for A wonderful lunch On Main Street in Montrose, Colorado! The waitstaff was super friendly, The atmosphere cozy located inside a beautifully restored historic building and the best part was my fried green tomato BLT sandwich. I think it was the best sandwich I ever had! Highly recommend.

Very relaxing atmosphere, stopped in for breakfast before our six hour drive back home. I got the chicken fried steak and lord let me tell you that was the best chicken fried steak I’ve ever had so beautiful seasoned and the amount of food we got was well worth every phased out penny. My boyfriend got the basic breakfast and he absolutely loved it the pancake was HUGE. Kinda wished we didn’t stop by cause I’m going to be thinking about this and craving it for a while Will come back whenever we’re back in montrose! Don’t stop by if your passing along unless you want to be thinking about this food for months on end like we are about to.
